I am SICK and fucking tired of fucking Zephyrs. I’m in wild playing Mech Paladin. One game this fucker gives someone a fucking mass dispel and then bam here comes the fucking Reno. Next game someone puts Zephyrs and gets a fucking Brawl while I have a nice board presence. Guess what happened? Killed all my minions and left fucking Zephyrs. Opponent had 7 health left and goddamn lost. Fuck playing against a card that didn’t start in my opponent’s deck fuck
Rastakhans rumble came out and added like 20 cards that see play, the year of the mammoth expansion got cycled out (thank god) also Genn and Baku were hall of famed (thank god)
rise of shadows came out and gave mage some of the most busted cards ever while warlock got possibly the worst cards in the game
priest and Paladin don’t have a deck with a consistent winrate above 50% while hunter has 3 tier one decks, zoo/Aggro decks run rampant but warrior absolutely demolishes them and mage keeps warrior and other midrange decks in check, the ultimate rock, paper, scissor meta
30 cards from the upcoming expansion have been revealed with reveal season in full swing
I hate to make a thread like this but I haven't played the game since September of 2018. Can someone please summarize how the meta has shifted, what nerfs have happened, what has been added and things like that? I don't want something terribly long, but a quick overview of how the game has changed and what I should be aware of currently would be very helpful. Thank you!
Rogue got nerfed a million times, yet hero cards did not. Zilliax is played in 70 percent of decks but Blizzard sees that as positive in some twisted shift in logic. If you can't beat Mage Conjuror's Calling Giants, like 3-4 different tier 1-2 hunter decks, Control or Bomb Warrior (so basically Dr.Boom), with Rogue sprinkled in, then you'll have a bad time on ladder. That's all that matters basically, everything else has an uphill fight for relevance.

Where are you getting this 60-65% data from? I highly doubt that true considering the ridiculous ramp, armor gain, poison seeds, and taunts druid have to stop aggro. Also, dirty rst isnt the best counter ever, the combo is still doable since the rat likely wont pull avianna or kun. Even if it did, the druid could generate a heavy board presence likely to be a challenge to get rid of because of how early the combo can be done
As oddly specific as it is, we haven't had many interesting 1 mana legendary minions like sir finley or shifter zerus in standard in a second. Sure we have chameleos but I feel like a lot more should be printed in future expansions, just something i thought of. Their power level is usuallly interesting or sometimes just op (patches) but i just wanna see some more because they're usually pretty interesting, what do you guys think?
Might be pretty bad imo. Mechs will definitely be used come expansion and this might mostly be a 5 mana 3/4 that kills maybe 1 or 2 minions at best. I mean, even if mech decks arent in full effect, this is just a bad goblin blast mage and will likely just damage a few minions like a mini aoe. Pretty bad imo
How is this a bad goblin blast mage? There's no mech requirement to trigger. It does more damage and is guaranteed to hit minions as long as they aren't mechs. It has so many uses and it has the mech tag.
i conpare it to blastmage because both relate to mechs and have requirements/conditions involving mechs. Plus they deal damage along the board. I said that because blastmage is cheaper, more aggressively statted, and only deals damage to enemies and wont likely thin your own board. I mea sure this synergizes with plenty of warrior cards but I guarantee it might sometimes kill or damage a friendly minion that was not meant to be damaged. This minion is mediocre tbh, i think it'll see decent play but it isn't anything stellar.

Just going through people with the Druid deck with the 0 cost hero power that does 3 damage. Crazy strong

Yeah pretty much was also gonna be my response. I’m at rank 4 in wild with the deck, it’s brain dead Aggro at its peak

Not bad tbh. Pretty good in spell hunter. Voted playable.

Does that card even see play in arena? I'm pretty sure that was temporary as were the other cards.
