Corruption was actually seen in Renolock variants back in 2016, when it was necessary to counter cards like Frothing Berserker. It was seen in conjunction with Frost Elemental, of all things, to make for a form of hard removal.
(This was supposed to be a reply to user-31021151, but I somehow messed that up, oops)
A lot of Grandmasters players have been cutting Priestess of Fury from their tempo DH and have had much success because of it, with this nerf that is probably going to be happening even more
Did the OP just get trolled by Blizzard pulling an April fools joke or did we just get trolled by the OP pulling an April fools joke pretending to have been trolled by Blizzard trolling by pulling an April fools joke?
Can confirm this is a pretty chill stream. Though not a super high level player, I recommend it for a more personal experience. Found the stream through this post, so seems it does work
Speaking in general terms, in lower ranks aggro decks will be more successful than in higher ranks, and control/combo decks will be more successful in higher ranks than in lower ranks. So (when playing at higher ranks/mmr) if you imagine that the winrates for aggro decks are a bit higher than normal, and the winrates for control decks are a bit lower than normal, you can make a decent judgement of the meta game.
If you also check other websites than hsreplay (I like hearthstonetopdecks), you can compare their opinions on different decks and see if that lines up with what hsreplay is telling you.
This is what I do, and along with your in-game experience I assume it would make anyone who goes through this process somewhat well-informed of the meta.
Though if you really care about it a lot you should probably cough up the 5 bucks a month. As stated by others, it's not an awful lot.
If you play in deep dumpster legend (like I do), you will find mostly people playing the slow control decks the OP is talking about. A different rank can give a different playing experience, so perhaps that's why some people here feel there's a control meta and others feel there;s only aggro and rogue.
If you find that you are a tad annoyed and starting to lose your patience after a certain amount of losses in a row (for me that starts at 2), I suggest taking a short break. Personally, I find I start making rushed plays when I get annoyed and that can lead to misplays. That's probably a good moment to go to the bathroom, get some food / something to drink or something else that can take your mind of of the game for a second. Then when you come back you'll feel refreshed and will probably misplay less.
When you lose a game due to somebody highrolling like crazy, there's nothing you can do. But often times there's something you could have done differently to win a game. Taking a break makes you less likely to make choices that lead you to lose games, I feel.
Sticking with one deck means you will learn the ins and outs of all the match-ups, more so than switching between decks. So I would suggest playing only one deck and trying to get really good at playing that exact deck.
You can use tools such as hsreplay.net to find exact decklists and the best mulligan strategies. I personally find mulligans to be the hardest part of mastering any deck, so maybe that's where you are struggling as well.
Since you say that you keep dropping ranks after ranking up, perhaps it's a good idea to take a break after a loss or two so you can calm your mind and play to the best of your ability.
From what I've seen on hearthstone sites across the internet, handlocks seem to be struggling. The archetype currently boasts a measly 46% winrate across all ranks according to hsreplay, and there aren't many deck lists going around. Hell, since the start of the expansion I've maybe faced like, two handlocks myself?
Warlock is my favourite class, and when I saw The Dark Portal being revealed, I was already excited. When the expansion hit, I started experimenting with the handlock archetype, and didn't have success initially (probably because aggro demon hunter was broken). I settled on a list that boasted a 62% winrate across 29 games in legend rank. Considering that I didn't manage to find any similar lists, I though't I'd share it here:

I haven't put him into any deck yet, but it seems like a decent addition to Galakrond Warlock or Handlock decks like this one:

Let me know what you guys think about handlock, or warlocks in general. Is handlock viable or are zoo and galakrond warlock superior?
