Eagletalon69 posted a message on Which cards will you miss the most?Posted in: Standard FormatGoodbye Sylvanas Windrunner you were my first legendary, and one of my most useful to date.
Also goodbye Majordomo Executus cut down just before a card released that would actually make you viable.(40 health Rag hero would be op, and will hopefully be in wild)

banstylejbo posted a message on They expect ppl to preorder with only 5 cards revealed? lmaoPosted in: General DiscussionI don't understand the "blind faith" sentiment if you're a player who actually spends money on the game. When Un'goro hits the Standard format will rotate to Year of the Mammoth. We will lose TGT, BRM, and LOE. Even if Un'goro isn't totally crazy good, it will still be 1/3 of the card pool, meaning a lot of cards from it will be needed. Also, it will survive the next rotation in 2018 when WOG and MSG rotate out, so Un'goro will be around in Standard for a long time. You'll need these cards eventually. Plus I think most people who actually spend money on this game buy at least a 40 pack bundle at some point for each set. If you're in that group you might as well pre-order and get your 50 packs and a card back regardless of whether you know what is in it or not.

Livienna posted a message on They expect ppl to preorder with only 5 cards revealed? lmaoPosted in: General DiscussionYour complaint was about not having many cards revealed. I'm just saying it's not a big deal. Obviously there are problems in other areas of the game (i.e. stale meta) but refusing to preorder NEW content that CHANGES the meta isn't exactly going to "teach them a lesson"... if that's the lesson you're talking about.

Dope_Bro posted a message on They expect ppl to preorder with only 5 cards revealed? lmaoPosted in: General DiscussionCuz i have money to blow, i always pre-order anything hearthstone related. It doesnt matter if its 50 bucks or 500, im pre-ordering anyway, and with me my whole friendgroup of 12 people, we all open packs at the same time and having a blast opening all dem legendaries. So when im pre-ordering anyway, why not pre-order asap and get that sweet cardback to show for it? The only time i use another cardback than my sweet Powercore Cardback is when i get a pre-order cardback, and i switch back after everyone has it.
Anyway, if its 5 cards released or 50, for me it doesnt matter, i get the argument of "but what if the cards suck" but face it, the next meta will include those cards in it anyway, why not take part of it and suck it up.
DopeBro out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You'll also want to keep track of what you're facing. If you seem to be losing a lot to aggro decks. Find card replacements where you could have had a better card in that situation. Example: Add AOE if you're facing aggro. Add card draw if you're running out of steam. (add taunts, lower card curve). Most of the time you'll have something in your hand that is not helping the situation. Find that card and replace it with something that would work better. If you're facing a lot of aggro decks, it's probably better to have Mistress of Mixtures, Priest of the Feast,Wyrmrest Agent, rather than have a Shadow Word: Pain. SWP will only kill 1 minion and then that's it, you get nothing more from it.

I agree. The new jade decks and buff decks are too slow, and that leaves the control decks which are too busy in their long games. Play carefully against secret hunters and pirate warriors and you get some easy wins.
Here's what I'm running.

Mine is similar. I took out the Trogg Beastrager (not a beast). Added Houndmaster because why not?
I like the idea of Doppelgangster and Fight Promoter (little bit of card draw)
And if King's Elekk can pull a Grimy Goon, I think it's 'GG'.
