Reckon you can abuse your pity timer with this?

e.g. If it used your pity timer values but didn't change them, you could wait until you have an ungoro legendary due, then start playing this card

e.g. If it does affect your pity timer values, you could abuse the hell out of it to increase your legendary drop rate in actual packs

Also, reckon you can get off-class cards with it?

The "pack" you get from Elise has nothing to do with your pity timer. It has a guaranteed legendary and epic, from what the game designer said, and the cards do not go into your collection.

    Quote from Werner_92 >>

Not buying expansion because i have enough gold to buy 60-80 packs. I still like Hearthstone the same way like i did in the start (playing since beta). But the community is really shit, only whining about everything (doesnt matter which meta there is). But well i play standard and wild and take breaks from the game aswell and have more fun with it when i come back after a few weeks every time.

I totally agree; I basically stopped playing for December and January and when I came back the game was a lot more fun. I'm still on the fence about buying the expansion, though. If someone had asked me two months ago I would have said hard pass, but I've started playing and having fun again in wild with my Reno grinder mage and N'zoth Rogue decks so who knows. If the new cards look fun I might end up buying it. Then again I don't really like standard anymore so I might just go F2P wild all day and just craft Un'goro cards that are viable there.

Honestly...don't craft either right now. They aren't currently viable and there are other legendaries that are better atm, specifically Kazakus, Aya Blackpaw, and Edwin, off the top of my head.

I also agree that hunter is very strong, especially in a meta with lots of  warlocks, rogues, and mages. I went 9-3 with my first hunter run this expansion after going 8-0 to start (just got a bit unlucky at the end) and I've had lots of losses vs hunter with the usual classes I've been playing (everything but druid, priest, and warrior).

I don't use Brann in my jade deck and it does great. I run Deathwing instead lol

And how does one get Golden Celebration?  I've never even played someone with the back.

I think you have to win or do really well in some tournament (thought it was China exclusive, but could be open to more tournaments now). Only person I've ever played who had was Muzzy during the last heroic tavern brawl lul.

Yeah I'm one of those people who squelches at the beginning of a match and does not greet people back. I don't want to hear your stupid greeting and I don't want you to make any emotes that might affect how I play my hand. I only unsquelch at the end of a match if I'm winning to see if a person will give a respectable "well-played", after which I will respond in kind. If he doesn't, I don't BM and say well-played as I win either.

posted a message on Arena discover probabilities affected by rarity changes?

It's always been more likely to acquire a legendary through a discover in arena than through the draft, but now it is more likely than ever to draft legendaries during the draft. In other words, discover odds haven't changed (you're just getting lucky if you're discovering more legendaries than in the past) but draft odds have, which is why we're seeing more rares, epics, and legendaries during the draft.

One strategy is to buy one TgT pack at a time until you open a legendary in order to take advantage of the pity timer. You could be close to getting one right now. I got one within like 12-13 packs.

Wasting your coin on turn 1 was a bad mistake, all it got you was a 2/2 on board. I would have played the 2/2 and let him trade into it and keep the coin so I could coin out the Murloc Knight on turn 3. It's a big enough threat that he would have had to trade in one of his minions. Because you blew the coin so early you hero powered 3 turns in a row and I stopped watching after that. Of course you will lose if you don't play any minions. If you're going to keep murloc knight in your opening hand with coin, either coin it out or play it on turn 4. If you are going to try and get value from it, toss it back into your deck. But yeah, biggest mistakes were wasting coin and not playing either of your 4-drops on turn 4. If you had played two 4 drops in a row into your venture co mercenary you likely could have stabilized the board.

I enjoy playing Wild but don't understand creating this "Hall of Fame" for really good Classic cards.  Its basically just a nerf without calling it a nerf and there will be other cards added to the Hall of Fame in the future, you can count on that.  It isn't like Rag, Azure Drake, and Sylvannas are OP cancer cards that are ruining the game.  I think Blizzard's reasoning for this whole Hall of Fame thing is BS.  "These cards are in a lot of decks."  Yeah and?  They are good cards, it doesn't mean banish them to Wild.  I just feel like the Hall of Fame along with 3 expansions this year is going to sour a lot of people on Hearthstone.

They're not OP cards ruining the game, you're right. But they limit the design space of the development team, which is what you don't understand.
This is the same BS they gave us when rotating Naxxramas: "Sludge Belcher and Antique Healbot are in every deck and limiting design space!" and so they went to Wild. What came to replace them as decent 5mana taunts and heals? Nothing.
It boggles my mind how some people can still believe this "design space" mythos excuse. Freeing design space is only good when you make good use of it.

I think it's great for the game they moved cards that were ubiquitous to wild and are giving us dust and letting us keep them. Wild is fun if you try it. We gotta have faith that they will release cards in those mana slots that are also good but would not have seen play had they kept these old cards in standard. If they don't, then yeah, I'll be mad they moved my Azure drake to wild. But I won't miss playing against Ragnaros and Sylvannas in every deck that isn't aggro forever.

They're not OP cards ruining the game, you're right. But they limit the design space of the development team, which is what you don't understand. If these cards are in the game, there is no card they could print that would be used instead of them unless it was blatantly OP like Dr. Boom. Every deckbuilder would compare new 5 drops to Azure Drake and ask, "is this better than Azure Drake or not?" Shadowcaster is a good example of this. I love this card, but it's not better than Azure Drake, and I can't play it as long as the drake is around, as much as I'd like to. Believe me, I've tried. They are doing this so that they don't have to powercreep cards and I hope they keep doing this to classic cards that become too problematic in the future. Blizzard also did a good job in giving us dust for the cards in the hopes that we won't disenchant them and try them in wild.
