Welcome to our Core Direbrew Blackrock Mountain Boss Guide. Below you can find more information on the Coren Direbrew Fight.

Boss Overview
Coren Direbrew is the first boss in the Blackrock Depths wing of the Blackrock Mountain adventure.
- Coren will bring out a random minion from his and your decks onto the battlefield.
- He gets two minions, and you get one on Heroic.
- His deck is filled with big minions, and lots of legendaries.
- He has 30 health on both difficulties, but also has 15 Armor on Heroic.
Heroic Difficulty Strategy
If you're playing on normal difficulty, the same strategy can be applied, it's just an easier fight!
- Put lots of big minions in your deck, as they will be brought out onto the field for free.
- When he uses his hero power, your summoned minion can attack right away on your turn, so don't worry about focusing on Charge.
- Stay away from minions with Battlecry, as their effects will not trigger when they are summoned onto the field.
- Adding spells to your deck can help you increase the chances of getting the right minion onto the field.
- Coren really likes to keep control of the board:
- When he starts to lose control, he plays Get' em!. This summons 4 Guzzlers.
- When he starts to lose even more control, he plays Dark Iron Bouncer followed by Brawl.

Vai um dano aí? kkkkkkk
I posted here a 1-minion deck with Kel'Thuzad only shortly after the release. Tried it with several other legendaries as well and now with Sneed's Old Shredder. Since the RNG makes it really fun i want recommend you to try it. Here is an example how it can be :)
yeah, used same strategy, druid's cards were winners
Kel'Thzaud only deck ;)
Really funny anyway HaHa, thanks for the deck.
I used Warrior to defeat Coren. Warrior offers the ability to destroy fatties on the cheap (Execute, Crush, Bouncing Blade) and also Brawl for when things get out of control.
You also have plenty of tools for killing multiple 1/1 dwarves.
My controlling build also gave a good chance of taking Coren to fatigue as he effectively draws 3 cards per turn.
Indeed, I may go back and try to beat Coren with a mill deck over the weekend.
ps I love uiasdnmb's Shamen build, below.
Read Coren's Power,
Forged my deck,
Lost once,
Modified deck,
Won next try!
Returning player from when the game first came out. This deck only took 3 turns to completely annihilate Mr. Direbrew (and was the only build where I actually had all of the cards). Thanks a ton!
brah
Easy Win.
Here is my deck witch some comments :) Video-prove inside.
no giants? :(
It has mountain giants, not enough? :D
I found he's easiest with Paladin, just load your deck with high value minions, and add Humilty, Hand of Protection and Redemption.
You easily gain board control as those spells enable you to kill his minions without yours dying with little mana expended.
I took a page from the Kripp and pull out every dam giant and big drop I could find and threw in some holy wrath. Cleared it pretty quick. http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/220437-heroic-grim-guzzler-paladin-deck
quick shaman deck for easy win:
Basically you should know if you've won by turn 2 with it.
Theres only 2 minions, which gives very high chance of getting them. Using AS and reinc to quickly multiply KT yields an easy win.
Also it exploits AI a little, because no matter how huge his board is, he refuses to trade with taunt when KT is on board.
I must have the absolute worst luck in the history of Hearthstone. Five games in a row, I drew one of the two minions first turn.
Strategy is legit, and since I don't have Al'Akir the Windlord, I just used Earth Elemental.
A lovely concept - using just 2 fatties to get the job done.
I wonder if a Druid variant would be equally viable? You'd lack Ancestral Spirit but would get to use Ironbark Protector and perhaps use Malorne as a 3rd fattie. Every time he dies another copy would be added to your deck, which sounds attractive.
I won on the first try (heroic and normal difficulty)

Hope it helps :)
