Hearthstone's 2nd expansion in the Year of the Phoenix is Scholomance Academy! The expansion launched on Thursday, August 6th.
Greetings, aspiring adept! We’re thrilled to welcome you to Scholomance Academy! Within the lofty halls of this fabled magic college, the (mostly) good Headmaster Kel’Thuzad and the rest of our faculty are here to guide the next generation of greats, from Warlocks to Warriors and everything between. We encourage the pursuit of double majors and offer a plethora of cross-over studies. Whatever flavor of major you favor, Scholomance has the training grounds to suit your needs!
Scholomance Academy marks the beginning of Phase Two for the Year of the Phoenix. In addition to the usual balance changes, Battlegrounds updates, and Seasonal Events -- Phase Two will also include a Solo Adventure and an all new Game Mode (to be announced at a later date)!

Scholomance Academy released on Thursday, August 6th , at 10am PT/ 1pm ET/ 19:00 CEST/ 18:00 BST, with FREE PvE content to follow (details still to come)!
Expansion Info
- Dual Class Cards - Cards featuring mechanics inspired by both classes' strengths. The set will include 40 Dual Class cards.
- New Keyword: Spellburst - A one time only effect when casting a spell. With a Spellburst minion or weapon in play, casting a spell will activate the Spellburst effect.
- Studies - Spells which allow you to immediately Discover a card and also reduce the mana cost of the next card you play of that type.
- The expansion will contain 135 new cards!
- All players receive two free copies of Transfer Student -- a Neutral Epic minion available 7/14/20.
- PvE content for this expansion will be FREE. Details to follow later.

I think the formattings fucked on this page, 'Hunter' section is gone and there's a Druid-Priest one for some reason.
Agreed. Just remove the dual-class sections and put all the cards in their own respective class areas. It's too messy how it is.
They haven't revealed a single just-hunter card yet, which is why the section is missing. Druid Priest is the next unseen meta.

This expansion is the final killer of Wild. Many cards completely break it.
I see it in two other ways.
Either cards from older sets will be experimented with again. Maybe creating new deck archetypes. Which feels fresh, this is a deck building game!
Or, one or two decks will turn out to be the most effective ones and wild will be super boring. WHICH blizzard wont allow so they have to adjust cards. Also, feels fresh, exciting (once we're through a possible boring phase)

What cards do you mean? The priest legendary seems very good at removing raza priest's natural counter in combo deck. And lightning bloom will probably be good.

I know this is going to sound annoying on my part; however, the artwork in this expansion has truly been lackluster and uninspiring! I love the theme of a school for magic; it plays on a whimsical style; however, also has that gothic "Defense against the Dark Arts" flare. Most of the legendary minions that have been revealed have very little to no depth to detail in them. My favorite class is Rogue and Mage, and not to sound too critical, but we got a pathetic, gloomy-looking "Doctor" with some butcher cleavers?? for the Rogue/Warrior. what i thought was a wimpy squire boy and not the deadly assassin Liliana for rogue. A Blue ogre that looks like a 3rd grader colored in (horrible palate of color) for Mage, and what looked like a female manikin Doll with little detail, with just copy-and-paste versions behind her for the Rogue/Mage Legendary. I wont go into the other poorly-executed "Legendary" artworks because I think I'm making my point across. Blizzard, please step up your act because this is type of artwork is very pedestrian... We all know you can do SO much better

Hmm. The artwork isn't really bad enough to call it pedestrian - it takes a lot of work to make good art, and it's not the same guy who draws everything. You can't as a collective blame Blizzard - they did nothing wrong.

EDIT: And we haven't seen all the cards yet, nor the animations :) Seeing what we got with Transfer Student, I'm betting we're gonna get some really neat looking animations all around.
agree, they can do better... some visual choices are pedastrian indeed... sometimes cute/adorable aesthetics/choices that would fit an actual small indie company... not a huge company like this.

Sounds like you just don't like the lighthearted side of hearthstone. The last expansion was pretty edge-lord, it would make sense that new people would react adversely to this if they thought Hearthstone was consistently as broody as ashes of outland. They almost always have a small cute creature card per expansion, sometimes more than one. Uh oh looks like you're playing a game for little babies, better bail.
I know this forum is usually not the best place for discussions, but...
I guess *adorable* is bad wording from my side. Maybe previous comment using *pedastrian* is better. Im not commenting on *content* choices regarding the visuals. I like the adorable content. The previous penguin, cats, etc. Maybe what you refer to as *light-hearted*.
But there is much to be considered regarding the choices in visual composition. Hm, also.. not really lack of characterization but maybe more *spice* could be added, and more variation... I.e. how the legendaries are portrayed, some of them almost seem to be the same person (composition-wise)...
..for instance, if you take a moment and compare with rise of EVIL, uldum, frozen throne, unGoro.
I mean, they DO got the money...
Apart from that, it seems to be a quite well designed set. As almost always, Blizzard knows how to deliever.
As unrealistic as it is, I can't shake the feeling the next reveal is a Paladin/Priest dual class weapon 😅

Hopefully more support for Miracle Spell Shaman is announced, ideally a copy minion effect for hitting Dwarven Archaeologist alongside Instructor Fireheart or a neutral/shaman end game plan beyond burn
Error spotted: there are 11 dual-class in your guide. The dual-class "Druid-Priest" doesn't exist and "Gift of luminance" is Paladin-Priest !
