HearthPwn: What made this expansion theme so compelling? What made it cool over other things you discussed?
Dean: The first thing we did obviously was we chose to have a new class and chose Illidan for that. So then we kind of had to do something that’s loosely related to Illidan.
In Hearthstone it’s a little bit easier to take a more broad location and take all of Outland and put a little bit of Hearthstone spin on it. It’s still Warcraft universe, still very much Outland, still going to see a lot of the places you remember if you played in the Burning Crusade expansion in World of Warcraft.

Primes:
Primes are new, special legendaries introduced in Ashes of Outland for all the original 9 Classes, but not for Demon Hunter. They all work in the same way: they have a base version, which when killed returns as a stronger version to your deck, to be drawn again and played again. The upgraded Prime minions have some spectacular effects, as you can see below:

HearthPwn: What was the Inspiration behind the Primes, the new Legendaries that you introduce with Ashes of Outland?
Dean: Primes are characters where you wonder “What would it be like if they came back?” and they come back in bigger, better, more awesome versions after they were defeated the first time.
Imprisoned Demons:
What would Outland be without some Demons? These particular Demons are called “Imprisoned Demons” because when you play them they stay dormant on the battlefield for 2 turns. During this time no one can interact with them, neither you nor your opponent.
When they finally awaken, they unleash an awesome effect. Imprisoned Demons can be tricky to play with as you will spend mana on a turn that only pays off later, but it promotes strategy and turn planning and has some amazing payoffs as you can see below:

Very promising expansion and updates! Clearly the team loves their work.
Unfortunately, this covid thing is worsening our economy and most of our community's financial status. Awww but i really wanted to buy and support this expansion :cc
wow insane!!!
So with the new duplicate system am I correct, that you just need to open like around 50 packs to get every card or am I stupid? When there are 135 cards and lets say 15 of them are legendarys then you need 255 cards to own all. 255/5 are 51 packs. Is this correct?
You got the system wrong.
You cannot get more than two common, rare or epic, within their drop rate. once you have all commons, you don't stop getting common, you start getting commons you already had in duplicate.
SO with 51 packs you will gett all your commons, most of the rare, a few of the epics but just 2-5 legendaries.
the duplicate rule only applies within each rarity. when you own all commons twice you can get tripples no problem. its just that you now are guaranteed not to open your third or fourth crap epic, while hoping for that specific one, because you now will definitely first open any other epic.
Ah! Now I get it, thanks! I knew something had to be wrong :D
I liked the old layout better, where you could see how many cards of each rarity were still to be revealed.
i liked it, when you could click on the "reveald" sign and it would take you to a page, where you just see the cards reveald in that go.
The changes are fair, but in my country Mega Bundle costs more than Cyberpunk 2077 + Doom Eternal + GTA V: PREMIUM.
until when can you order preorder ?
until the 6. of april, the very previous day of release day
What comes next? Beast Priest or Elemental Rogue... ?
Deamon Hunters are a legit group in the warcraft universe, if you had watched the announcement stream, you would know that.
I believe it works the same way getting the darkness would work where they come into play dormant because becoming dormant isn't a battle-cry.
Do dormant cards that are played from deck (ie recruit mechanics) come into play dormant or just normal?
Most likely starts dormant. That's the way The Darkness works, only with him he never wakes up because he didn't summon any candles.
The dormant mechanic is not a battlecry effect, it is a status of the minion, like a deathrattle. Unless I am missing something, it will stay dormant as usual when recruited, just like all other minions that have static effects on the battlefield.
I'd much rather go with Harry, draw 3-4 cards for 5 Mana with a 5-4 on board is a massive swing.
I think the most popular counter is going to be playing Warlock with 2 Sacrificial Pacts.
