HearthPwn: What made this expansion theme so compelling? What made it cool over other things you discussed?
Dean: The first thing we did obviously was we chose to have a new class and chose Illidan for that. So then we kind of had to do something that’s loosely related to Illidan.
In Hearthstone it’s a little bit easier to take a more broad location and take all of Outland and put a little bit of Hearthstone spin on it. It’s still Warcraft universe, still very much Outland, still going to see a lot of the places you remember if you played in the Burning Crusade expansion in World of Warcraft.

Primes:
Primes are new, special legendaries introduced in Ashes of Outland for all the original 9 Classes, but not for Demon Hunter. They all work in the same way: they have a base version, which when killed returns as a stronger version to your deck, to be drawn again and played again. The upgraded Prime minions have some spectacular effects, as you can see below:

HearthPwn: What was the Inspiration behind the Primes, the new Legendaries that you introduce with Ashes of Outland?
Dean: Primes are characters where you wonder “What would it be like if they came back?” and they come back in bigger, better, more awesome versions after they were defeated the first time.
Imprisoned Demons:
What would Outland be without some Demons? These particular Demons are called “Imprisoned Demons” because when you play them they stay dormant on the battlefield for 2 turns. During this time no one can interact with them, neither you nor your opponent.
When they finally awaken, they unleash an awesome effect. Imprisoned Demons can be tricky to play with as you will spend mana on a turn that only pays off later, but it promotes strategy and turn planning and has some amazing payoffs as you can see below:

Ashes of Outland Cards List
Ashes of Outland introduces 135 new cards, including 15 cards for the brand new Demon Hunter class, as well as Primes, and Imprisoned Dragons!
"Imprisoned Dragons!" - Someones copy/pasting too much
Or that new auto-correct censoring function for demonfearing parents.
Hmmm, Kinda expensive but I would definity buy that "AoO Mega Bundle - $79.99" if they added 4 rolls of toiletpaper!
probably spending on canned food, more likely. :D
Sac Pact is gonna be insanely good this expansion
Don’t you think the color of the new-class cards looks too much like the hunter’s cards? Both are Green. :/
They were just out of colors that match DH.
I think it's a good choice as the human eye can see more shades of green than any other color.
( Why I don't know, something with green laying in the middle of the solar spectrum... or perhaps evolutionary left overs from 80.000 years ago? )
Welcome to the weapon removal expansion :)
Maybe this guy finding its place in a couple of control decks.
It's not an exact duplicate: you can attack heroes, you just can't attack again afterwards. You could, for example, attack 3 minions then face, or 2 minions then face, etc.
Can I pre order order till 26 Mar?
For every previous expansion Blizzard will be happy to take your pre-order money til the day of .. In this case April 6th.
yes. till 6th of april to be precise.
dormant is too slow, not so good imo
......You draw a card, and it automatically gains a bonus effect because you just drew it.
Sometimes, this community's dipshittery is impressively astounding.
They said Dormant, not Outcast.
Dormant and Outcast are different things, the original poster wasn't wrong.
Kind of ironic that you are calling this guy out on his "dipshittery" when you can't even read his comment correctly.
Hearthstone keeps getting better and better since Ben Brode left.
Another shaman hero? Sigh.
