HearthPwn: What made this expansion theme so compelling? What made it cool over other things you discussed?
Dean: The first thing we did obviously was we chose to have a new class and chose Illidan for that. So then we kind of had to do something that’s loosely related to Illidan.
In Hearthstone it’s a little bit easier to take a more broad location and take all of Outland and put a little bit of Hearthstone spin on it. It’s still Warcraft universe, still very much Outland, still going to see a lot of the places you remember if you played in the Burning Crusade expansion in World of Warcraft.

Primes:
Primes are new, special legendaries introduced in Ashes of Outland for all the original 9 Classes, but not for Demon Hunter. They all work in the same way: they have a base version, which when killed returns as a stronger version to your deck, to be drawn again and played again. The upgraded Prime minions have some spectacular effects, as you can see below:

HearthPwn: What was the Inspiration behind the Primes, the new Legendaries that you introduce with Ashes of Outland?
Dean: Primes are characters where you wonder “What would it be like if they came back?” and they come back in bigger, better, more awesome versions after they were defeated the first time.
Imprisoned Demons:
What would Outland be without some Demons? These particular Demons are called “Imprisoned Demons” because when you play them they stay dormant on the battlefield for 2 turns. During this time no one can interact with them, neither you nor your opponent.
When they finally awaken, they unleash an awesome effect. Imprisoned Demons can be tricky to play with as you will spend mana on a turn that only pays off later, but it promotes strategy and turn planning and has some amazing payoffs as you can see below:

Does it count as "attacking" enemies if you just hit them with sweeping strikes? I know Vicious Scraphound works because it's just based on damage dealt, but this seems to be worded differently. Does this trick work with Darius Crowley?
I cant believe shaman is getting yet ANOTHER skin lmao. What is that, 5?
least blizzard knows its shamanstone now
YoU KnOw WhAt Is FrEe???
Yup, we sure as hell better not be getting DoD packs, LOL!
You guys have the wrong Pre-Order information up.
Except it can attack heroes, and has strong synergy with blur and their hero power.
So It’s no copy like you say. Remove post please It’s stupid
he didnt say it, he quoted a post lmao
new types of cards look interesting
Overall exciting times and great changes ahead. The only cloud in the sky is that i can't believe they made Warglaives of Azzinoth an exact duplicate of Fool's Bane, the only thing they did was reword it. Very disappointing to one of the most iconic weapons ever in WoW history. It should have had addition text like ''if it kills a minion, summon a 2/1 Flame of Azzinoth''. It's just kind of funny how in the past they made this big stink on class identity and literally just do a copy pasta from another class.
Deleted.
Dude, this is not an exact copy as it can attack heroes. It's superior.
Can’t wait for the Primes, but we’re gonna need the healing to survive half a dozen Leper Gnomes if we wanna live to play them.
One question to all: Just 135 cards - including the demon hunter cards in this expansion? Is this true?
Thx for Info
Favo
Wait, is that just placeholder or are they seriously selling Deathwing as the hero once again?
Cut and paste job.
It’s lady visij for shamon
After seeing primes. All I want is the Optimus Prime :D
You mean Amazon Prime :D
