HearthPwn: What made this expansion theme so compelling? What made it cool over other things you discussed?
Dean: The first thing we did obviously was we chose to have a new class and chose Illidan for that. So then we kind of had to do something that’s loosely related to Illidan.
In Hearthstone it’s a little bit easier to take a more broad location and take all of Outland and put a little bit of Hearthstone spin on it. It’s still Warcraft universe, still very much Outland, still going to see a lot of the places you remember if you played in the Burning Crusade expansion in World of Warcraft.

Primes:
Primes are new, special legendaries introduced in Ashes of Outland for all the original 9 Classes, but not for Demon Hunter. They all work in the same way: they have a base version, which when killed returns as a stronger version to your deck, to be drawn again and played again. The upgraded Prime minions have some spectacular effects, as you can see below:

HearthPwn: What was the Inspiration behind the Primes, the new Legendaries that you introduce with Ashes of Outland?
Dean: Primes are characters where you wonder “What would it be like if they came back?” and they come back in bigger, better, more awesome versions after they were defeated the first time.
Imprisoned Demons:
What would Outland be without some Demons? These particular Demons are called “Imprisoned Demons” because when you play them they stay dormant on the battlefield for 2 turns. During this time no one can interact with them, neither you nor your opponent.
When they finally awaken, they unleash an awesome effect. Imprisoned Demons can be tricky to play with as you will spend mana on a turn that only pays off later, but it promotes strategy and turn planning and has some amazing payoffs as you can see below:

why no dormant demons for shaman and rogue ? :ccc
but anyways rogue secrets are better than those
So does anyone know if an Outcast effect will trigger if it's the ONLY card in your hand at the time? Technically it should still be the left-most and right-most card. Or do you need at least 2 cards in your hand?
This list is missing a lot of cards...Like Nethrandamus and Altruis the Outcast for example.
it is not missing those cards, since those are not ashes of outland cards. the 2 cards you mention here are from the initiate set, which consists of 20 cards, and the other 10 cards that are missing are from the demon hunter basic set.
very interesting cards, let's see in practice
Feels like the expansion with the best artwork overall, really like many of these :)
What is the demon Hunter uppgraded Hero power
1 mana gain 2 attack
I thought it was 1 attack
he asked about "upgraded" mate
Ah my bad
Ops, just notice, he got basic n classic, but i believe metamorphosis shoud be in his classic, why? Coz in warcraft, when get level 6, he always metamorph.. Pity if after 2years, he will lost this skill
hmm.. true.. :/
So demon hunter is staying for 2years or permanently like others? Coz he didnt get any basic, classic card at all, just phoenix year cards is it?
Yes, a new Archetype for Paladin, or is it?
I really like where the rogue archetypes are heading <3 And hoping that secrets will always be included in the next expansions!
A bit disappointed we didn't get Optimus Prime with all those Primes going around :(
What happened with this card? It doesn't show up on the expansion page.
Nethrandamus
If I'm not mistaken, it's a part of DH's basic set, not AoO
