Goblins vs Gnomes Patch Changes
A Hearthstone patch has appeared on the download servers, and it contains Goblins.. and Gnomes!
Animated Golden Cards
Our HearthPwn developer masterminds have generated some incredibly awesome golden cards for you to enjoy. See below for a glimpse of what Goblins vs Gnomes has to offer in its collection of golden cards, and be sure to head on over to our database to view all the golden cards! Remember to mouseover the golden cards on our database listing to see them animate!
We recommend using Google Chrome to see the cards in their highest quality (webm). Other browsers see gifs.
Goblins vs Gnomes Launch Event
We have datamined information about a Goblins vs Gnomes launch event. Logging into the game during the launch event will give you a free arena run and three free Goblins vs Gnomes card packs. We don't know how long the launch event will last, but if it's anything like Naxxramas, it should last a couple of months. Blizzard has not yet released a statement on the GvG Launch Event.
Quest changes which reference the launch event can be seen below, alongside the other quest changes (Woo Android!).

Goblins vs Gnomes Information & Cards
We've launched a dedicated page for Goblins vs Gnomes which contains information on the expansion and has lists of all the new cards!
Vol'Jin is a top tier legendary. I can't wait to craft him! His golden animation is pretty cool too.
A far too situational. E.g. Rag u can play any time. Try to play Vol'jin turn 8 against Druid with your health at 12, waiting incoming Drul's combo-wombo. I bet you'd appreciate much more any Taunt or major heal. But certainly Vol'jin is a way good answer for Ancient of War or any of Giants.
What kind of argument is that? Rag can't be played anytime and he wouldn't save you against FoN + Savage Roar in the situation you propose. Also, If you're a control priest and you're at 12 health against Druid on turn 8, you probably have more problems than deciding on what card goes into your turn 5 slot.
If your opponent is a ramp druid you could have dropped Vol,jin on turn 6 against an ancient of lore and killed it using only smite. On the turn 8 you described, all you have to do is hang on to a Loatheb and heal. I really don't know why you think Vol'jin is too situational unless it's for the sake of argument.
Yes, I think he's a great way to deal with enemy minions, his 6 attack can mean he trade with Spectral Knights and Taunted Druid of the Claw. Two really annoying minions for Priest to deal with. In Priest mirror, imagine having a Vol'jin to trade health with a 4/7 Blademaster easily swinging the match in your favor.
I'll admit Vol'jin sucks against decks without great health trade targets like Zoo, but even then, he can come down the turn after a Doomguard to make him easier to kill plus give you a 6/7 Vol'jin.
What? I can't tell the difference between the new and old art for those 3 cards. I see *slight* differences, but come on, who is going to notice?
I didn't notice the change to his crown until someone pointed it out in this thread.
December 8th
What do they mean by "pre-release event"?
Also, I'm assuming the "Opening of GvG" means on the first day(s)?
We're still waiting for confirmation from Blizzard on that. I'm sure we'll see a blog within the next week.
Awesome, thanks!
Come on Mods, I wanna see those golden cards!! GIMME GIMME GIMME

Free packs and a free arena run?!? Fuck yeah!
I'd love a page with just all the cards layed out instead of a list, but great work anyways! Hype!!
Try this.
If you would remember, IPad users already got the bonus packs. In the exact same way that android players are getting them now.
Just FYI, any one account can get both the iPad quest and the Android quest if you own both devices.
