Dr. Boom, Mad Genius
There is definitely some questions about how this card works, so here's the deal!
- Dr. Boom's Hero Power is randomized every turn. It randomizes on your opponent's turn so they can see what to expect.
- You can never get the same hero power in a row.
- Dr. Boom does not appear in the Arena.
These are his different emotes.
- Greetings: "Here comes the BOOM!"
- Well Played: "You. You're good."
- Thanks: "Thanks! I'll destroy you last."
- Wow: "NICE!"
- Oops: "Huh. Failure IS an option."
- Threaten: "Don't make me push buttons!"
Here are his five different hero powers.
Puzzle Lab
The Puzzle Lab will become available starting August 21.
When you experience The Boomsday Project’s free single-player content, The Puzzle Lab, you’ll discover that science is fun! And dangerous! Not necessarily in that order! You’ll need to get your security clearance before you can gain access to these secrets, though.
New Gameboard
New Card Backs
Below are two new card backs for The Boomsday Project. A pre-purchase exclusive back featuring Mech Jaraxxus and a card back available through the solo PVE content, Puzzle Labs.
no would seem that its one you earn VIA beating the puzzle lab game mode
Got my Mecha Jaraxxus :)
... The cardback isn't bad neither.
Guess: Legendary druid spell: All your minions with 2 attack become 5/5 minions.
The Caverns Below hmmmmmm
I think the first one was Cobalt Scalebane, under the title of “Fluffy Dragon”
You should be able to buy the pre-order up until the actual launch of the expansion - August 7th. Try not to wait until the very last minute though ;)
Every time a new expansion is revealed and the cards are teased, there are some cards that are revealed in some other language and need to be translated. The card is still shown in the main page with a more-or-less accurate translation for the actual text, but until the official English name is revealed they put it here as “Fluffy *something something*” as a placeholder. I don’t quite know when the joke started, but it exists
We started it when we had no idea how a card's name translated in one of the Chinese reveals back in The Frozen Throne. We kept that as our temporary naming scheme because it's awesome and it ends up being a good indicator to everyone to not trust the name.
Still waiting for Blizzard to ruin us by creating a card with Fluffy in the front of whatever its name is.
You know which card started it? Cause last I remember it it was on the Benevolent Djinn. They called it Fluffy Genie.
Yesterday I Woke up Sucking a Lemon....
Beautiful Card Back!
But the question is: does it beat the brain-dead aggro options currently seeing play. Yes, new mechanics that test your ability to play are great, but if there are better options, cool skill-testing abilities mean nothing as they see no play.
@thebelgianemperor
Midrange is dead because combo decks have gotten so fast that they beat them out, control decks just outvalue them, and aggro is too strong. That is why decks like Midrange Hunter fell out of favor as decks like Burn Mage and Tempo Rogue are just better in the current meta. This is a terrible meta for midrange. Shudderwocks everywhere with control out the ass and Baku Pallies setting the standard for aggro means midrange is dead on the vine.
Hey everyone! A few hours ago I got the visual guide up on this page as it wasn't here before. Sorry for the delays in getting that out this expansion, we had a few hurdles we had to get through to get the site updated with the new set and such.
We should be set now though for The Boomsday Project. As always, if you see any issues, you can let us know on the site feedback forums or you can send me a message.
Thanks, Flux. You all do an even better job with each expansion *&WOW*(. Thanks for the one stop shop.
I really hope you have won of those 'Cartoons' to reveal this time around. Cheers!!
GG.
Also, who wants to bet from which class will the first “Fluffy” Card be?
i dont understand what you mean, what is a "fluffy" card?
Betting for Hunter
