Dr. Boom, Mad Genius
There is definitely some questions about how this card works, so here's the deal!
- Dr. Boom's Hero Power is randomized every turn. It randomizes on your opponent's turn so they can see what to expect.
- You can never get the same hero power in a row.
- Dr. Boom does not appear in the Arena.
These are his different emotes.
- Greetings: "Here comes the BOOM!"
- Well Played: "You. You're good."
- Thanks: "Thanks! I'll destroy you last."
- Wow: "NICE!"
- Oops: "Huh. Failure IS an option."
- Threaten: "Don't make me push buttons!"
Here are his five different hero powers.
Puzzle Lab
The Puzzle Lab will become available starting August 21.
When you experience The Boomsday Project’s free single-player content, The Puzzle Lab, you’ll discover that science is fun! And dangerous! Not necessarily in that order! You’ll need to get your security clearance before you can gain access to these secrets, though.

New Card Backs
Below are two new card backs for The Boomsday Project. A pre-purchase exclusive back featuring Mech Jaraxxus and a card back available through the solo PVE content, Puzzle Labs.
What about Demonic Project?
Im fine with Dirty Rat being where he is right now. It doesn't really gives you a chance to survive vs combo, it absolutely destroys the deck if you hit the right minion. I find it exceptionnally unfair that a single card would kill an entire archetype forever should it be moved to classic. Maybe I'm just biased because Combo decks are my favorite but I would much prefer cards like Loatheb aimed at locking your oppenent'S ability to execute the combo for a specific amount of time rather than just have a battlecry: Your opponent will concede if this hits a combo piece.
Anyway, just my two cents on the matter. Hyped for the release.
Yea i get what you are saying i kinda like otk/combo decks myself too but if they rule the meta the game will become unplayable and boring really fast. Just think about it for a moment. The winner will be whoever draws their combo first ... no point on playing other archetypes. So the reason i was thinking of Dirty Rat moving to classic was cuz they didn't print any card at all for countering those decks. They only printed one for Warlock but that's only for warlock. The other classes still have nothing. I know that it's early to talk about the meta and stuff like that. Just a hypothesis.
Hyped for the release too man, 2 more days :) Cheers.
I get what you're saying. I've played a bunch of quest mage mirrors with one of my buddy when they released KFT. I still think Dirty Rat isn't the card we need.
True, but Aggro sucks right now and didn't get too many tools. Perhaps Zoolock and Odd Rogue have to be our saviors.
The warlock project can counter both.
Which also is true for every other aspect of life.
Bufflock incoming
LUL people complaining about lack of potential and staleness, as if they have theorycrafted everything for the next 4 months
maybe menegarie related cards? Since menagerie is related to dragons, murlocs and beasts? (Menagerie Magician, Zoobot, The Curator)
Still can't believe they didn't print a ten mana omega card...
Is there an advantage to use a 10 mana card at 10 mana?
That kind of card would be meaningless I guess.
Btw, I really disappointed when I saw Mecha'thun, I believed that it is the ultimate Omega Project and it will be Omega C'thun.
I hope that's a joke but you can honestly never tell with this community.
That would be pointless, there would be little to no difference between that and any other 10 mana card
This expansion is kind of underwhelming. I'm glad I didn't preorder. It doesn't enable enough new deck archetypes aside from mechs.
Too many useless legendaries. There aren't enough "build around me" cards. It doesn't enhance existing archetypes. No murloc with rush. In fact, no murlocs at all. Or dragons. Or pirates. No minion to give your weapon lifesteal.
The only thing I'm looking forward to is going infinite with Rogue.
Dude there is a heap of potential for new combos this expansion, also murlocs and dragons were getting super stale and just encouraged the same types of decks

One year after Druids of the Frozen Throne, Druid gets the best cards
No Charge cards in this expansion... again
Good the game has enough charge
