Monster Hunt
- Works like Dungeon Run in that you play a hero against bosses and build a deck as you progress.
- Does not use normal Hearthstone heroes, this has four unique characters.
- The final boss at the end of Monster Hunt is different for each of the four classes.
Below are pictures of the Cannoneer, Houndmaster, Time Tinkerer, and Tracker heroes from Monster Hunt.
New Keyword: Echo
Echo cards can be played multiple times on the turn you play them. Each time, it’ll add a ghostly copy of the card back to your hand that disappears at the end of your turn.
New Keyword: Rush
Minions with the Rush keyword can attack other minions immediately after they hit the board, either by being played or summoned. They cannot attack heroes until the turn after they enter play, however.
Hagatha the Witch
The only new playable hero card being added to the game, Hagatha has unique emotes and a special passive Hero Power.

Card Backs
There are two new card backs. The first is available with the expansion pre-order and the second is a reward from Monster Hunt.
New Gameboard
As always, Hearthstone is getting a new game board with the expansion.
Fen Creeper and Bog Creeper have a Nemsy on them, but Bogshaper doesn't
Ahh, good point. I never noticed that. They all look exactly the same if I'm honest.
I can't really say for sure in standard, but Thief Rogue should be decent atleast in wild. Ethereal Peddler makes it so that no matter what the spell/minion is (for the most part) is, it can still become playable. This just helps make the deck run a lot smoother and makes RNG not have THAT much of an impact with it.
Paladin legendary 5/5/5 Prince Liam Battlecry: replace all 1 cost cards in your deck with random legendary minions
Shaman Legendary 9/6/6 Shudderwock Battlecry: Repeat all other battlecries from cards you played this game (Targets Random)
You can see the future ! (or you had inside intel I guess)
2nd shaman legendary,
A big raven that has; "whenever you summon (or play) a minion, give it a random keyword (or give it lifesteal, poisonous, rush, stealth or windfurry randomly).
This explains the raven brawl and why Bbrode said "you'll lose your minds".
i hope theres a weapon enhacement for rogue,,, or RIP kingsbane
They're also losing coldlight oracle, a main part of the draw engine of the deck
I'm already sick of Kingsbane. Sick of using it, sick of playing against it. The search for a decent Rogue identity beyond Miracle continues ...
I kinda wish the garden version had lasted longer.
You know I really dont like the rush mechanic, I feel like they only made it because they like charge but it is too op. And that is fine, they can want charge in the game, but I feel like it will not be as good as they think, and with all the cards with rush on them it is a little disappointing. And with cooler more creative mechanics like "recruit" only got like 9 cards total, while rush got a lot more.
Dont get me wrong, i am not trying to rain hate on rush, I just feel like there were better keywords to make instead, especially with this being the first exp of the year.
Countess does not draw mage DK if that's what you were implying.
I think one of the reasons why they aren't making a lot of recruit cards is just because it can easily become a bit problematic. Look at all the recruit cards we've had so far. 2 of them are incredibly problematic, those two being Possessed Lackey and Call to Arms, with several others like Kathrena Winterwisp, Oaken Summons, Master Oakheart and Dragonhatcher(when used with Oakheart) are also pretty strong cards with the remaining 5 cards to either be situational for a deck or just kind of bad. It's a fun and cool mechanic, but it also limits card design by a ton, so I can understand why Blizzard doesn't want to try and push for much more recruit cards, atleast a little bit.
Thats not my point.
charge is actually the bad mechanic of the two, because it allows a lot of damage face when it's not supposed to + it's unpreventable. rush is just a balanced charge (Charged Devilsaur should be called rushed devilsaur).
The other shaman legendary better be OP.
I think Hagatha is pretty good, a decent board clear as her battlecry and gives constant value afterwards. The deck has to be built around her, unlike Valeera the Hollow or Frost Lich Jaina for instance, you can play them in every deck. But I think Hagatha is good nonetheless. "IT'S TOO OP, WE CAN'T PRINT THAT CARD" got people hyped and then they were disappointed, because it is not op, it is balanced and I think very fun to play, with and against. We'll see.
Rip Warrior again
Warrior has some of the better cards in the set, wtf are you on about?
i dont think warrior is a total RIP this expansion, but i think every expansion people are mainly looking for cool awesome control warrior cards, nobody really seems to be asking for tempo warrior support but blizzard KEEPS pushing it. The only thing keeping control warrior half decent against any deck is n'zoth and with that rotating out it's not looking good for the warrior archetype most people seem to really enjoy which is why i think lots of people are disappointed with warrior this time around. the only control warrior card printed was warpath
the cards are not bad, they're just not what people wanted
