Cinematic Trailer
Teasers
Several teasers were posted for the Gadgetzan expansion.
- Teaser #1: Greetings from Gadgetzan
- Teaser #2: The Gadgetzan Gazette - Vol. 32 #7
- Teaser #3: The Gadgetzan Gazette - Vol 32 #8
- Teaser #4: The Gadgetzan Gazette - Vol. 32 #9
- Teaser #5: Pirate Coins on Instagram
The dragon from the trailer is Kazakus, I guess. And yes, it's sad that there is no his dragon form Legendary card.
Now that it's all out there, all I gotta say is, That's it? Feels so small for some reason.
Was expecting more virmen, perhaps more pirates, actually knew there'd be very few dragons, cuz why would they be in a roaring 20's city setting; but it would have been nice to see an epic for each family, (mostly because my ocd is bugged by the lack of them.) And most importantly, Talon isn't a card, that's verrry surprising.
As far as neutral legendaries (not tri either), they are the worst i've seen in all expansions/adventures since the beginning of hearthstone. The closest one to being playable is Sergeant Sally, coming in 2nd place Patches the Pirate and Wrathion. The rest are not even worth keeping.
Are you high? Wrathion is insane in the membrain and sergeant sally is probably gonna be one of the staples in all of control
Babe, you forgot the entire THING of this expansion regarding Warrior, Paladin and Hunter.
Not only that, but Druids and Rogues are lacking in Aoe (Druids less so but Swipe and Starfall can't really deal with big minions) and both have good ways of buffing Sergeant Sally (Cold Blood and Mark of the Wild come to mind).
Warlock, Mage, Priest and Shaman have enough AoE to deal with most things, but Rogue, Druid and the Goons could really use this card!
Why would you play this card in an aggressive deck, which btw the discussion was for "the staple of control"? You are wasting space and buffs on clearing the board and not in gaining a board advantage over your opponent. And even then it is stealing buffs that could've gone to other better minions that could've used the buff effectively (say, Dispatch Kodo). And even then, it takes a turn to proc the AoE. It's just too slow and requires too much combo for the meta you want it to be played. I seriously don't see this card as strong as something like Justicar Trueheart.
You have a point though on running it in druid and combine it with mark of the wild. But let's face it, that card has not seen play ever. It's not a bad card though, but no one ever included it in tournaments. And you must draw both cards by the turn you need it and it costs 5 mana to do the combo. And EVEN THEN it's a silenceable 5-mana target that deals 3 AoE dmg and you probably wasted your whole turn in setting it up (because game will be over to play this on turn 10+ against an aggressive deck), while the opponent will just kill it and refill the board again because it's his turn and just used his actual board to trade.
Maybe it isn't as strong as Justicar Trueheart in Warrior control decks, then again nothing is, and aside from Hunter, there aren't too many Goons cards that really WANT to be buffed. And as far as a 5 mana, 2 card 3/3 taunt + 3 damage AoE, if your opponent has a large board of small minions, it is totally worth it, even if he fills it again because Card advantage is limited and the longer the game drags on, the more advantage the control deck has.
I wonder why they decided to let your opponent know which card in your hand it's a buffed minion or weapon. That looks like a huge disadvantage for the grimy goons classes since your opponent can know which cards in your hand are not spells and not play around them.
I think the idea is trackers are going to track it anyway.. and its just helpful.. getting dropped by a 15/15 1 cost boar with charge deserves a warning
Finally doctor 5 for Shaman White Eyes.
Blubber Baron is gonna be beautiful in Goons Pally
Poor rogue.
Where is the white rabbit???
Virmen Sensei
...So many bad legendary cards. I can think of craft like one or two maybe. The rest are like, mediocre.
Anyone agrees?
At least it wasn't like WotOG where all of those Vanilla cards with no texts were released. But still, why cards like Worgen Greaser and Backstreet Leper? Do filler cards have to be bad?
