Boss Overview
Romulo and Julianne is the first boss in The Opera wing of the One Night in Karazhan adventure.
Pro Tips and Strategy
- Julianne is unable to be killed while Romulo is on the field.
- The hero power on heroic is different than normal - she can resummon Romulo for 0 mana through True Love instead of 4.
- An interesting Priest strategy involves the use of Power Word: Glory on Romulo. You can build up an attack force while Romulo's damage to your hero is negated.

Super easy!
um.... just silence Romulo... Then go to town with Direct Damage.
Won heroic first go with a standard zoolock deck. Used the same for the crone heroic.
Romulo is a good target for both Humility and Blessing of Wisdom
Got it on first try with Mill Rogue, Simply gang up murlocs, make her reach fatigue, then SI/sap/backstab romeo and play brann+murloc, she will take damage from fatigue since romeo is not on the board and it's a win :)
Can't pick Deathlord... for whatever Reason
C'Thun, CaaaaaThun ;)
Easy heroic THX ^_^
Thx, it helped ;)
Used Mill Rogue to beat this. Pretty hard battle, but first try.
I just used my secret paladin. First try.
Used Freeze Mage to beat Heroic.
Did heroic after a few tries with reno mill rogue, got unlucky on the first few and got what i needed after that.
Basically you want to ensure you have one form of removal (Shadow Strike, Backstab or Sap) available towards the end of the fight to take out Romulo before you kill the boss with fatigue, otherwise she remains immune and takes no damage from overdrawing. Don't rely on your board minions to do this for you, the boss puts up a lot of taunts towards the end when she has the mana to spare.
I use Reno because i was finding myself way too low before making my final move to finish off the boss. Topping myself up and killing her within the next few turns was the best way to do it. Obviously to use this strat you need to hesitate from using gang up's early on, but you'll be able to get plenty of oracles toward the end after you have used reno and start ganging them up immediately.
Honestly i didn't make any deck variations going into this and it worked, but if you wanted to fine tune it for better success, you can probably ditch the azure drakes and replace them with refreshment vendors or any other sort of self-healing. Alternatively you could put more taunts in. You really just want to keep yourself healed and prevent as much damage as possible then kill the boss in one turn.
holy shit man ! won the boss on frist try with ur deck ! thanks alot !
It seems to me we had info on hero powers before the wings went live in previous adventures. It's annoying that I can't get a start on theorycrafting the heroic decks, since it saved some time in the past.
If you go to the hearthstone wiki, they have all the bosses heroic hero powers there
Just play fatigue druid, like every heroic on every adventure, and win.
There are two bosses or two stages of one boss? Idk
It's one boss, the other is a minion
