Relax, mate! Game is a free to play and also free to not play.
Paladins complaining they don't have the flat out best 3-"drop" in the game anymore. This is what the game has come to.
Paladins can just play murladin and can just rush down the enemy hero(warlocks are fucked) before they can do shit.
Hogger, Doom of Elwynn doesn't work like regular Hogger and needs to be forced-triggered. They're going with the corrupted theme, but I'm sure there will be new kinds of cards. The trailer showed proof of that.
Because they're not basically the same? Take muster and stand for example; The lack of weapon on Stand and higher mana cost means a lot when it comes to early board control/Southsea Deckhand activation, and then there's the difference in what it's competing with for its mana slot. Hardly makes Muster redundant.
If your complaint with polluted loot hoarder is that it's just a loot hoarder with a bigger body/cost; I'm really not sure how you missed the dozens of similar cases already in the game (Ironbeak Owl/Spellbreaker, Ancient Brewmaster/Young Brewmaster, Abusive Sergeant/Dark Iron Dwarf, Argent Horserider/Argent Commander, etc.)
I'm a completionist too, and I'm just not seeing why you'd start disenchanting now. They're not even directly comparable like Ice/Magma Rager, or Booty Bay Bodyguard/Evil Heckler
The thing is that Owl doesn't trade with Spellbeaker, neither do the other examples. Loot Hoarder kills Polluted Hoarder and that's pretty bad.
This looks very nice so far. I enjoy the emphasis on C'Thun synergies here. I like seeing many cards interact specifically with each other in this kind of manner.
fits shadow priest better i mean in legion shadow priest's artifact weapon has a moving eye...
when is the Promo Period ???
Official announcement says you get 2xBeckoner of Evil free alongside C'thun:
C’Thun is especially tickled to lend you its aid: a Legendary C’Thun card and two Beckoner of Evil cards lie waiting to add the unutterable awesomeness of the Old Gods to your collection. Just open your first Old Gods card pack to collect these questionable new allies.

AWESOME cardback holy shit
Salty Dog!
C'THUUUN FOR EVERYONE!
Is time to pre-order!
A lil recap of what we will lose and what we will gain is incoming soon.
Every cardgame need rotation too not get stuck
I will miss this expansion but it's time to say farewell and it is overdue in my opinion. I wonder on what's up in store for upcoming expansion that will change the game as profoundly as GVG and NAX did. Some honoroable mentions from GVG and NAX.
The core of how we see any Mech deck today is gone from Standard
Neutral: Dr. Boom , Antique Healbot , Piloted Shredder , Annoy-o-Tron , Kel'Thuzad , Loatheb , Deathlord , Nerubian Egg , Sludge Belcher , Haunted Creeper , Mad Scientist , Unstable Ghoul , Zombie Chow .
Druid: Shade of Naxxramas I know it is a Neutral but really does any other deck play it?
Warrior: Death's Bite , Shieldmaiden .
Warlock: Voidcaller , Dark Bomb , Imp-losion , Mal'Ganis .
Shaman: Whirling Zap-o-matic , Crackle , Neptulon(never got what it deserved for now).
Rogue: Tinker's Sharpsword Oil , Goblin Auto-Barber .
Priest: Dark Cultist , Lightbomb , Light of the Naaru , Shrinkmeister , Velen's ChosenShadowboxer .
Paladin: Avenge , Shielded Minibot , Coghammer , Muster for Battle , Quartermaster . Ouch Secret Pala for now if ya add in the naxx ones too like Avenge?
Mage: Duplicate , Flamecannon , Unstable Portal , Snowchugger , Goblin Blastmage , Echo of Medivh .
Hunter: Glaivezooka , Webspinner , Gahz'rilla (Never got too shine who knows what wild will bring for it tho =).)
The list of gamechanger lost in Standard from Naxx which isn't listed at start of list: Kel'Thuzad , Loatheb , Shade of Naxxramas , Deathlord , Nerubian Egg , Sludge Belcher , Haunted Creeper , Mad Scientist , Unstable Ghoul , Zombie Chow .
Honorable mentions: Feugen , Stalagg , Baron Rivendare .
What i think will be power cards for wild when not considering those already stated.
Recombobulator , Iron Juggernaut (fatigue? =)) Ancestors Call ( a spell heavy deck with high and few minions might one day be viable Mimiron's Head play some mech protect them and buff the insane V-07-TR-0N for 1 turn-KO. Those are just a few of the ones which might one day be turn 4-5 KO's.
I guess the point of this post is too see what each deck will lose. I'm really exited about what's coming up in Whispers of the Old God expansion and forward, as i see the meta will be change drastic just by losing GVG. Add in the Naxx loss and change on some classic cards and this meta will be more fun as the game has really not moved too much the last months. I also think Wild will be hilarious and fun so don't dust em all =). Coming from a Vintage Mtg player. It's better too keep the OP GVG cards, instead of dust for crap value just to maybe one day have to make them again. 5 dust for common,20 for rare,100 for Epic and 600 for Legendary ain't that much really when a new legendary costs 1600 "only" and you never know what your preference will be either. It will also be smart too pick up 1st wing of Naxxramas so you can get the adventure later for some gold each wing or money this must be done quick!. The price to get the good cards is high in dust compared to 700 gold for 1st wing and then always have the opportunity to buy the rest for gold or money when wanted or just DE them if you dont like wild.
What each deck lose is posted but i wont go into further details on that as the new cards might change a lot, so it is kinda pointless to do so
but it sure looks like any mech deck, secret pala, CTRL Priest , Tinker rogue and so will lose much.
So far it looks bad considering aggro as a lot of the anti aggro tool as we know are gone and reno is reno. Will be interesting too watch how aggro is going to be dealt with now as so many staples against aggro is gone.
ye pala lose a lot, priest lose a lot too(tho still viable) and rogue are getting to useless level again =(. I did not say that all the decks which are viable of those 3 classes will be crap from now due to unknown cards that will be incoming, but the ones i said will be hit hard.
Card games don't need rotation to not get stuck. Rotation just allows lazy design, because players will buy the cards regardless of how horrible they are. In rotating formats change of meta is forced violently with rotation. In nonrotating formats meta changes naturally, players adapt to current meta by trying to make deck, which is strong against popular decks, some players experiment new cards and some unpopular old cards. This makes designers to make playable cards, which fill a role previous cards didn't fill without breaking the format. For example mtg's legacy format is nonrotating, it's current card pool have cards from 1993 to 2016 and from every year there's some cards that are still played in legacy. In standard of mtg meta is less diverse than in legacy due to smaller pool or less time to build decks.
Comparing to legacy(magic).
How many will be able to afford legacy's format in Hearthstone? 2 expansions and 1 adventures(1 year?), and much of the playerbase would be lost.Apparently a high % of the player base struggles as it is now due to not wanting to put money in/not enough play time/late joiners or just bad luck on their boosters? What would they do about ban's in legacy for hearthstone, would they need to ban cards or change cards all the time due to insane combos and such( less combos here i know) . Legacy banned list is huge and cards gets added then removed often there, its a mess if you want that in hearthstone. In MtG you would use a few $1000 to compete in legacy for the basics. we have wild so that's the place to go for insane games, and legacy gets rotation too when a new set is added + banned list =).
I play vintage myself and have played since 95-96 and i got most off the vintage staples so i know what you talk about. It is not beginner or even normal people friendly due to the cost(that part would be less in HS)
lets not forgot those of us who were striving to build a better demon lock lost alot too namely mal'ganis antique healbot and the void callers =/ baron rivendare is also gone making dreadsteed worse.
but honestly most of the really good demons have that draw back effect and no one want to hard play a mal'ganis while your opponent might have a answer,
but over all i am excited to see what the new expansion brings to the table i've been toying around with alot of classes and different deck types lets hope that they release some new things worth what few gems we lost. :)
