So, I recently pulled a golden Archmage Antonidas, which I've had some alright games with. I don't play Exodia mage because I dislike the playstyle and lack the cards anyway. With that in mind, I turned my attention towards wild, where I remember that Reno Jackson is still a thing that is very much alive.
Would disenchanting Antonidas for the dust to craft Reno be worth it, or do you think I should save the Archmage and try to slowly gather dust for Reno instead?
Reno Jackson can be used in a lot of different decks (almost every Class has its Highlander version, but the most performing are Priest, Warlock and Mage), while Archmage Antonidas is a Class Legend and not even always used in all archetype of Mage. Still Antonidas is a very strong card and will always see a lots of play here and there (also in Standard since it's from the Classic Set).
I would say Archmage is in about 85% of all mages ever, not just exodia mage. Control (including all Reno), freeze (non-wild) and midrange "gunther" mages always run it. Tempo lists can also sometimes run it. Unless you do not plan on playing mage ever, I would advise against dusting it
Reno is a powerful wild card but one major downside is that Reno decks are often very expensive to craft, even when you have Reno himself. If you're having dust issues, you might want to think about what kinds of Reno decks you want to play and if you can afford them

I second that. Also to complete their point, I can provide you with a bunch of decklists, these are the best performing ones so far from my personal experience.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?

Legend with : S65 Freeze Mage, S57 Maly Gonk Druid, S57 "Okay" Shaman, S53 Boom-zooka Hunter, S53 Maly Tog Druid, S52 Wild Tog Druid ft.Blingtron, S50 Quest Rogue, S49 Dead Man's Warrior, S41 Wild Clown Fiesta Druid, S41 Hadronox Jade Druid, S40 Wild OTK Dragon Druid, S35 SMOrc Shaman, S33 Jade Druid, S22 Control Priest, S19 Control Priest
Antonidas is a very good card, you will regret if you dust it, so just wait till you have enough dust for Reno.
Reno without Kazakus is weak, so you're setting yourself up to need another legendary. There might be more versatile legendarys to craft.
Thanks everyone. Think I'll end up keeping the Antonidas and slowly gather up the dust I need for Reno Jackson.
Let's hope I get many duplicates in all my packs for a while, eh? - and now there's a sentence I never thought I'd write out!
