Since warlock is my favourite class in hearthstone and I don't feel like playing other classes, but recently I got bored by playing zoo and handlock the whole day, I wanted to try something new. So I tought about the legendary demon himself, Jaraxxus. Is it possible to use him in a deck, which has the potential to go all the way to legend? I imagine using him either in a handlock deck, or in a deck which focus on heavy board controll to get into late game so you can use his full potential. This deck could run a sense demon, so you can make sure to have him on your hand when needed.
So my question to you guys is: Is it possible using a deck with him which can compete with the fast pacing and popular decks in the ladder? Or do I have to use my zoo and handlock deck to compete? (Got rank 2 with 3 Stars as handlock last season, so I think I got the basic knowledge to hit legend)
Besides Handlock and Zoo (Which you would never seriously run Jaraxxus in). There are two decks off the top of my head that have Jaraxxus in them but don't fit the two archetypes. You might be able to take them to Legend.
I read the OP's post and thought I'd share my warlock decks with him and then I scroll down and see someone else already linked one my decks to him :) ! I have another version of this deck that Calamity linked and it may be even more effective on the current meta with all the High Burst decks out there.
He certainly has his draw backs, but he does at least have 3 attack on the turn you play him.
Which is irrelevant if your opponent has any minions with taunt, even then, enjoy your Sinister Strike. I'm not fond of damaging my hero after healing it.

Personally since more people are running the Hydra Handlock deck, (which I run with minor changes) I like having the option of an additional siphon soul, it is just an amazing card in the mirror, as is Jaraxxus I find. Many handlocks don't play Jaraxxus, and unless they have Leeroy+faceless+power overwhelming or soulfire, you get an extra turn and you can taunt the tokens, or shadowflame them as you need. Also having the weapon is nice. I am just recommending this from personal experience. If I find it is too slow the further up the ladder, then ofc I will drop it. Jaraxxus has won me 5 games personally, some of them getting near the fatigue line, and one against aggro where I couldn't clear board and hadn't drawn second molten, Played Jaraxxus, and he conceded. I really like it but ofc the "experts" are going to flame me. I am going to keep playing it until it screws me on ladder. 9-3 atm on winstreak.

Thanks for the responses guys! i'll try those decks out. Jaraxxus might also make a appearance when the Voidcaller is finally out. A 3/15 on turn 5 isn't to bad in my opinion.

Don't forget however it takes you to 15 hp! So beware of that fact, also makes molten giants almost unplayable, try to get those out before playing Jaraxxus!

Battlecries don't proc unless you play the card, if Jarraxxus is summoned by Alarm-o-bot or Voidcaller, that won't happen.

Right I understood that fact I just didn't feel like correcting him on it. I was simply reminding him that Jaraxxus shouldn't be played just because you have 9 mana.

Hoping for answers, have a nice day!

And.
I would recommend trying these. Otherwise you can experiment or just run it in Handlock at a later date.

As much as I like Jaraxxus, the fact that he has no immediate board impact and locks you out of your molten giants makes him a no deal.
His he a good card? Absolutely! But may not be so hot in this meta. The meta is so fast atm I don't even run giants in my handlock anymore.

I think you need to wait for the new class card and maybe combo him with Sense Demons for some new usefulness to Jaraxxus, this time as a minion!

I'm new to playing lock, so interested to see where this thread goes. Having Jaraxxus makes me want to use him - he's b'dass.
