From a pure competitive aspect It is actually quite easy, the average for all arena playes combined is 3-3 ... so every average of 3+ wins already puts you into the top half of players ...
The Rewards however are not thaaat great when you compare them to my math-part as with 3 wins you usually achieve not much more than breaking even ... I would say if you average 4+ wins arena is starting to become profitable for you, compared to ranked only. From 5+ wins on you really speed up your collecting!
I would say 6+ wins is decent. When you pass that point you're facint other players who have also won at least 6 I think, so any wins beyond that are good. My most is 9 wins, I'm pretty casual about arena. I enjoy it, but don't play it daily or anything, maybe 3-4 times per week.

This.
The Math is the Math. if you are averaging over 3 wins, congratulations. You are above average.
Depends on what your own expectations are. Personally, I don't play Arena much, so I only average 3.4 wins and have hit a max of 8 several times. So, I'm happy with anything more than 3 wins, and I'm thrilled with more than 6.
As has been said, 3 wins is average, but frankly average arena players are pretty terrible. If you are averaging 5 wins per arena, you're a pretty good player. I think an average of 6 (which is slightly above where I am) is about the best you can do just by playing reasonably intelligently and drafting well, without careful analysis of every turn. Once you get to about 7 wins average, I think you're in the same league as guys like Trump.
Considering my best run ever was 9 wins, I think 6+wins is a very good run. Actually, I only consider it a bad run if a don't make it to, at least, 3 wins.

The difference between gimmick and sinergy is only consistency. Mrglglrglglglglglglgl!!!

I think there are bots in arena, so the average can be higher. But i don't know how often bots are used.
What does that change to the average ? Even for bots the average is 3-3...
Bots don't play arena rounds ;) And even if they would play until 3 losses (what they don't do), it leaves the option that humans can have 3+ - 3, when bots have 3- - 3

Just put in accounts instead of players, then it is clear what I meant: No matter if you, a dog, a bot or you grandmother is playing... the average wins for the entire population of arena playing accounts is exactly 3 wins ... in conclusion, as long as you (as an individual account) is averaging more than 3 wins, you are by definition above average ...
ArenaStats: 3 wins gets 41 gold, 6 dust and 1 pack on average. 4 wins get 66 gold, 6 dust and 1 pack on average.
Actually 3 wins is a losing result, and 4 wins juuuust breaks even. If you had been playing Ranked, unless you main fatigue Druid, you would have got 10-20 gold anyway in the same time, assuming a 55% winrate (which should be about correct as long as you are not at rank 20 or legend).
I think the average for the best players is a bit higher than that. I'm currently averaging a bit more than 7 wins per run and it's still a little below the top streamers (ratsmah might be the best right now with hafu kripp trump and guardsmanbob all being in similar ballpark win % wise).
I think their win% is about >= 75% which is about 8 wins.
*edit* it's actually 9 wins but it seems a bit high so I guess their win rate is a bit lower than 75%? Maybe if someone remember hafu's or ratsmah recent winrate over a long period of time they could post it.
As others have said here, anything above 3 wins is above average. That being said, as I've improved in arena, I've stopped being satisfied with lower scores. Now I expect 5 wins as a minimum, and I'm happy with only 7+ (the "infinite" loop).
depends on the deck imo.if all your drafts consist of stuff like grimscale oracle, stoneskin gargoyle and magma rager you can't realistically expect to get over 3 wins.
also mages and paladins are really overpowered in arena,so i'd say you should be more critical of yourself for getting a low number of wins with them.
Lets say 6-3 could be called as solid Arena run? Or would you call that still a pure noob Arena run?
0-3: Bad
4-6: Average
6-7: Okay
8+: Good

I'd say 1-2 wins is pretty noob (or super unlucky)
3-4 is bad, but at least breakeven.
5-6 is my average/okay
7-8 is solid (mostly because rewards at 8 is barely more than 7 wins)
9+ is when the rewards start getting worthwile.

6 is solid.
7 is really good.
The difference in gold between these 2 is ridiculous. 6 wins can give you as low as 75 gold while 7 wins gives you a minimum of 150 gold.
Anything above 7 wins is amazing.

3 is the point were most players stop .
Getting 7 wins repays you min. 150 gold
So 6-3 is a really good arena run .
