1) Flamewreathed Faceless is insane. 4 mana 7/7, what in the world are they thinking? The overload for 2 isn't even that big of a deal when this card has only a few counters when removals are already premium. And do you really want to use a Sap or Polymorph on turn 5?....... God this card is crazy enough to have been in Constucted play currently.
2) Master of Evolution. This card is bonkers with premium 4/5 stats. Its synergy with Tuskarr Totemic is equally crazy. Even if Tuskarr Totemic dies, you can probably just evolve the totem. Crazy. I got a Chillwind Yeti when I used it on Tuskarr Totemic. Disgusting.
3) Thing from Below. Wickedly cool card. Often had it cost 5 mana without using a hero power (usually Totem Golem or Tuskarr Totemic). At 5 mana 5/5 with Taunt is pretty damn premium. Have done Tuskarr Totemic + Thing from Below on turn 6.
Who here has been using Shaman more frequently and thoughts on the class now?
I've been playing with it. Need to refine the deck, but the WoToG cards seem insanse. Also Nerubian Prophet is insane. If you have it in your starting hand, you can play it at 3, evolve at 4 for a 7 drop... I did this and got evil Hogger from it.
This set made Shaman a strong Midrange class like Druid. They have strong early bodies that dominate the board. And the new removal card, Thunder Crack is highly underrated. It's a great card with high powered cheap removal. It can easily get rid of any early threat.
i felt that people who plays it as an aggro deck with evolve is kinda weird.... evolving a totem to a two drop is so bad late game and should be run more midrange with higher drop overload cards like earth elemental.
so far all i run into are aggro shaman against my cthun warrior, cthun druid or tempo mage, i m always expecting a hex so i either use the cthun to bait out the hex for massive damage + board wipe or use something else to bait out the hex and play it like a midrange deck.
I agree with the other two, but I don't think Flamewreathed Faceless will end up being that good. I mean it's a good, solid, large body, but not that hard to deal with given that you won't be following it up with much on turn 5.
The Nerubian Prophet into Master of Evolution seems a little broken to me. You get to play a 4/4 on turn 3 and then on turn 4 you get your 4/5 + a 7 drop. I feel like it should transform the Prophet into a 4 mana minion as you played it for 3 mana. There really isnt anything you can do when on turn 4 you are facing a 7/7 and 4/5 (and they used there 4/4 to clear your board first).

There are a few sick one-two punches like that in this set. N'Zoth's First Mate into Coin + Bloodsail Cultist is another one.

My god did Shaman receive a lot of crazy cards.
Just from a few runs today I saw:
