Random lackeys all the time, mostly from EVIL Miscreant. And not enough, some of the lackeys have rng battlecries (evolve, discover a spell and summon random 2 drop)
and literally everything that steal is rng, which is the biggest fiesta archetype ever
I don't mind it for the most part. but would be fun if there was a mode or a brawl that removed all the RNG cards, or if they are some sort of summon a minion rng card they just make a x/x stat token minion
I wish this game was more skill-dependent, feels bad...
rng is the same for both players, the real variant is the diference of skill, so if you think youre losing because of rng, let me be the first to tell you: its not

Do you even logic? It's not the same for both players, that's why it's called RANDOM. It can be either good or bad for you, just like for your opponent. In a long value game, RNG usually have a big impact.
Honestly, I think RNG is what makes this game fun and distinct from other card games. Sure it can be annoying at times, but only HS generates crazy situations.
RNG is core to Hearthstone, always has been. If you dislike it, play MTGA instead, it has next to 0 RNG.
That's not actually true. The RNG in MTG is concentrated in the shuffle, and it is way, way, WAY less fun than the RNG in Hearthstone.
Working around the antiquated land-mana system in that game is a huge, boring aspect of the game, and it doesn't even work a lot of the time. Watch any Magic streamer, and you will see tons of games being decided more by mana-screw or mana-flood than by gameplay or (non-mana-related) deckbuilding. But Magic fans just shrug and say it's part of the game.
On the other hand, the RNG is Hearthstone is actually entertaining. I'd much rather hold my breath hoping to see a boom-bot hit the right target than wonder if my next card draw will be my fifth land in a row.

Tbh a game is entertaining for players and their viewers whenever they get lucky or unlucky. I've had some amazing RNG and I've lost to RNG. Give and take. Some people count sides and think just because they lose more its unfair. Luck man.
Nerf backstab and remove bomb warrior archetype from the game. It will make everyone much happier. Too many brain dead people playing rogue and warrior just cause they are broken atm.
Decrease the rng and you increase the likliehood that certain MUs become more decided the moment you queue into a deck that does better than you, or that you are more favored against.
If you want a HS that is more scripted and almost pseudo-predetermined then remove the rng.
Also, the moment you take out the rng is the moment various Youtube channel revenue also goes down. I'd hate to think about what percentage of the grand total of HS highlights depend on rng caused plays/situations in a given week.
I know I certainly don't watch the highlights to see predictable plays of cards on curves or reactive plays from slow decks with constant effects.
Not gonna comment on every class or rng cards, but for example, the most played classes right now are warrior and rogue
- Warrior:
Value cards: Dr. Boom, Mad Genius: rng hero power, and even more rng in deliver drone (discover), Omega Assembly and Dragon Roar, all rng
Blastmaster Boom bombs have random target AND random damage
Heavy Metal! trash card with trash rng just like the other "summon copy of random minion from your deck" cards they added this expansion
Board clear: Brawl, Dyn-o-matic and Supercollider, all three have rng
And rogue:
Random lackeys all the time, mostly from EVIL Miscreant. And not enough, some of the lackeys have rng battlecries (evolve, discover a spell and summon random 2 drop)
and literally everything that steal is rng, which is the biggest fiesta archetype ever
And what about Academic Espionage? The fiestatest of the fiestas
There are rng everywhere!! Discover a card, summon random minion, cast random spell, random target, random random!!
Does the community REALLY like rng or what?
I wish this game was more skill-dependent, feels bad...
Maybe stop depending entirely on these marginally small (and yes, fun) RNG effects and start making good decks instead?
These small RNG effects provide a little variation, so you're not doing the exact same thing the entire time.
Stop depending? Even if I don't play these heavily rng-dependent decks, but my opponents will
Start making good decks? good decks also have lots of rng, rogue and warrior are good examples right now
And marginally small rng effects ? do you even pavel book? rng can simply win the game, and it happens very often
Games without RNG are dull. Besides, this is a card game, randomness is definitional.
If you dont like it dont play it yourself. Go and take your non RNG cards and have fun.

Too much whine!
Like MTG for example, your only rng is basically the card draw, and I wouldn't say it's a dull game
Thanks, bro. I wish I was as smart as you to have had this idea before. But will my opponents play non rng decks too?

The amount of salt is huge in this thread.
