I've been playing since the launch of TGT. The best ranking I've achieved until today was the 8. Time after time again I have tried to climb the rankings but I always get stuck. I would very much like to improve my game but mostly to reach legend at least once. if anyone can guide me. Thanks for any help.
I arrived fast to the 10 ranking but it was only so far, I have not been able to pass this.
*Time is not so much trouble because lately I've had a few hours to play every day.
what decks you got ? i think you shouldnt aim to reach legend( try hard mode) becouse it can be very tilting. instead try some other stuff like reaching 50 gold / per day, and you will eventually get there
you should stick with 1 or 2 decks. you have to adjust yourself what you are facing, i guess from rank 10-5 its mostly aggro(zoolock) so odd warrior maybe pretty good.
if you face to many druids, try to counter it with odd rogue for example and so on. reaching rank 5 is at least a safe point
I've been struggling myself lately. Last month I got down to rank 9 which is my lowest ever. This month I got down to 12 and am back to 15 zero stars. I've been having trouble finding a deck that works. Last month I got down to 9 by using both Deathrattle Hunter and Even Shaman. Now neither of those are doing much for me. I've tried Odd Rogue and I just can't win with that. I also just don't find it to be much fun. The last few days i've been playing Deathrattle Hunter again and got to rank 13 but i'm back to 15. I tried Token druid for a couple days and didn't have much luck. I'm trying not to get too hung up on ranking up because I mostly want to have fun but I also like have an objective so maybe trying to earn a certain amount of gold per day would be a good objective to have and see how that goes.
If you want, you can PM me your battletag and I can spectate some games and "duoqueue" with you. I am a fairly average, but consistent legend player, so if your main goal is just to hit legend for the first time, I am sure I can help
I'm not the OP but can I take you up on the offer? I usually play between 6-8pm EST. I'm on during the day but i'm at work so I won't be able to interact much.

PM me your battletag, I usually play between 8pm-12am EST but sometimes get on earlier.
I did. Just message me when send a request so I know it's you. Thank you! Sometimes i'm on until 9:30-10 so hopefully we'll be able to catch eachother.
Same here. Feel free to add me. I end up between legend and R5 each season, depending on time, meta and luck. Mostly play on EU: horn#2715. I can spectate some games and give you tips.

(sorry about the english)
1) If you don't use a decktracker, start using it 2) Have few decks you play and get used to them and don't switch often. Tier 3 deck you know well is better for ranking than tier 1 deck you barely understand 3) Start paying more attention to your opponents cards. Try to guess what those cards are. Turn it into a mini-game for yourself. Eventually it will become your second nature. 4) Give yourself breaks. Brain needs some rest. Waiting out your tilt is a good idea, too 5) Never make 5 second long turns even if they look oblivious. Think about "absurd" options, maybe they aren't actually bad.
I know this isn't a popular answer, but for me, I got better after playing Arena quite a bit... The big thing that helped me with arena was heartharena... The reason it helps is that it tracks a bunch of different stats for your arena deck, that include Taunt, Reach, Curve, Removal, draw Etc... It did get me better at building decks, but IT ALSO got me better at playing them, because I could hold in my head better what kind of things I had in my deck, IE, it helped with deck tracking, which is a huge, but underlooked factor. In arena to be good you have to play to your outs, but your deck is different every single time... This greatly accelerated all the different types of decks I could play well, deck tracking, playing to my outs, when to trade with certain kinds of decks and when to be aggro. I got to legend the first time with a home brewed Big druid deck with extra reach, often killing the opponent with swipe, feral rage, feral rage. etc... I was so good at the time I didn't lose a game in rank 1. You can be an expert in control, or an expert in aggro, but to be really good you need to be an expert in both. Many decks like malygos druid, etc require board, control, delay and aggression all at the right time, but the single biggest thing that will create more wins is setting up for lethal (turn prior to lethal, because it requires an answer from the other player and limits their options) and getting lethal on the first turn it's available. IT's unbelievable how many times the average player misses lethal or misses setting up for lethal.

is a good alternative.
I tried several types of decks. aggro, midrange, control, combo .... but all to no avail.
True, climbing the ladder ends up being very frustrating at times.
