Hey everyone, I'm sitting on about 3k dust and I am about to buy one of the get in here bundles so I will probably have enough to craft about 2 legendaries. Personally, I feel it is long enough before the next expansion that I will not regret crafting legendaries that I can play lots and have fun with in the meantime.
I have a few decks that are complete (maly/token druid, evenlock, tempo/elemental mage, spellhunter) I also am sitting on many that are almost within reach, frustrating to play with when just missing one or two legs. The latter is the part that I need help with! I am thinking of crafting a new deck.
These are the decks I'm interested in and the legs I'm missing. If I've made a mistake let me know (i.e. some say sindra and allana are not both necessary right?):
Control Mage: Sindragosa, Alanna Quest Warrior: quest, DK (want to play recruit but missing too many;( ) Shaman: Grumble, Kalimos Taunt Druid: Hadronox, Oakheart Togwaggle druid: togwaggle Cubelock: Lord Godfrey, Rin Res mind blast Priest: Prophet Velen Control priest: quest
Missing neutral legs that apply to some or most of the above: zola, umbra, elise, hemet(?)
I like playing fun decks (as my favorite deck ever is maly druid) and almost always otk/combo/control. I also don't want to craft a deck that doesn't win. What are the arguments for the above decks in the current meta? I need one that is successful but also fun to play according to my preferences. Also crafting a solid deck that I am not golden in yet (still need mage, pally, warrior, shaman, hunter) is nice.
You don't need Rin or Godfrey for cube, Godfrey is ok to play but not at all needed and Rin is definitely not needed at all, most lists don't run her... Also don't craft velen. he sucks hard.

Hi Sorry for the slow reply, I was doing an arena in which I kept disconnecting due to loading this forum -.- then I went to buy some beer lol. Thanks for your input, I can see why Rin may not be needed but Godfrey really? I have been rekt so hard by that card so many times it's unbelievable, why do you suggest that he is not needed? And Velen..Yes..lmao I can see that he is pretty niche but the dragon soul res maly/velen mind blast priest seems pretty damn awesome to play! I would maybe consider crafting a less specific legendary though xd
Godfrey is very strong. Hadronox and Oakheart are both very powerful but taunt druid could be useless if the meta shifts to aggro/midrange in the future. Control mage doesn't necessarily need Sindragosa or Alanna, but Sindragosa is tons of fun paired with DK Jaina.

My opinions exactly! Other than I thought control mage would need one of them. Is that combo worth a craft? Is control mage still very powerful in this meta? I wouldn't mind crafting another legendary to make her work as I've just crafted lich Jaina a few days ago :)

Cause he isn't needed, cubelock is a deck that either draws the nuts or you get kinda awkward hands and it depends on your skill at that point, you don't need more removals, it's just a "win more" card in the games with awkward hands he's too slow on the games where you would appreciate the removal and then if you get the nuts you for sure don't need removal. Just check this https://hsreplay.net/decks/sAu6vLt7QoSWvHxYJPfT4b/ it's a cubelock with godfrey and he's by far the worst card (card with the worst winrate) both when drawn and played, by a lot, so you can see he isn't impactful enough, I'd much rather run something like Ooze or Spellbreaker or whatever other tech card of choice than a card that does nothing most games honestly even a something like tinkmaster to get a better match-up against taunt druid seems better to me, that match-up is pretty difficult and he makes it easier, but hey you don't have to listen to me, just check the % I told you, numbers don't lie.

Also yeah most decks either run Alanna or Sindragosa, Sindi is better on slow metas (like this one) as it has a huge body, gives you water elementals and generates extra value and Alanna is better on minion based metas but either is fine, I would go for sindi on this meta, but who knows how the next one will look like.

Hm I see, that's very surprising! But I see your point. In that case then, Umbra would be a more worthwhile craft for cubelock? And has the added benefit of being neutral. Edit: Is cube still competitive?? I had thought that it had gone out of popularity after nerfs, but is still a very powerful deck. Can't check winrates at high ranks on HSreplay without premium.
I wouldn't call Godfrey win more in cubelock. But I would also not consider him core to cubelock. He is not a part of the main strategy, he is just a really strong stand alone card. So play without him if you want to save dust. Umbra is closer to core in the deck.
Well you can see that umbra has a very high winrate, 3rd highest behing guldan and the cubes but I still don't feel like she's that powerful anymore, cause one of her strong point was to curve it into a lackey, now it's impossible as the lackey is 6 mana and having 8 less heals for the pacts means you often don't have as much time to get the full umbra combo, she's a nice cards but I wouldn't craft it.
The deck is still insane but now you definitely need to be good with it to win, if you never played it before I wouldn't recommend crafting stuff to play it as it's a complex deck to be proficient at, if you don't mind losing a lot at first then go for it, if you have experience with it, then the deck is still incredibly poweful, just play it with the cards you have, if you have all the epics and guldan you're set, umbra and taldaram take you winrate up but without them you can still reach legend for sure. Rin and Godfrey are not necessary and just look like a waste of dust rn as controlock is much worse than cubelock and evenlock.
Thanks guys, honestly I agree with both of you.. cubelock is a tricky one right now.. I might craft Umbra + fire plume right now and maybe sindragosa if I get enough dust from packs.. :) Thanks guys, unless someone has objections..xD

Control Mage: Sindragosa, Alanna
I regret crafting Alanna, and I don't think you need Sindragosa. DK Jaina is the OP card for control mage.
Shaman: Grumble, Kalimos
Cards that are great in Shudderwock, but not the best deck either.
Cubelock: Lord Godfrey, Rin
I have been really happy with both Godfrey and Rin, but I am use them in a control lock build. Not needed for cube.
