Hello everybody! This topic is for discussion of our "Feugen & Stalagg Need Friends" competition. To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entryfor feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.
So, without further ado, have fun and get creating!
If someone want to use Theralion and Valiona, don't try to find art for them, they just don't exist, but Ultraxion and Halion look almost the same as this couple, so use them. I thought to make them, but decided to use old Ogron Twins idea i posted
I was about to try and make a card and I see RandomScribbles Murloc Holmes + Watt-son, what a masterpiece, well done you win my vote.
I thought my submission was good but OMG, that submission is divine... Y_Y
Thank you both so much. I found that art a while back and just knew I needed the card I made out of it to be great in order to do it justice. I definitely stepped my game up for it.
Art and names to come later. I'm just trying to come up with the effect first. The point of these is to Enrage each other. If you play both, the order you play them in determines which Enrage effect you get. The effects are meant complement each if you get both.

Watt-son's effect is illegal since it requires you to draw one card before the other to work.

Nope. Order you play them matters, not the order you draw them. You can hold one card until you drew the other.

I think it's not really clear that both cards actually interact with each other. You might have to add "if you control xxx deal 1 damage to xxx" or something :)
I don't understand how it could be unclear, since they specifically state each other as their targets. Adding "if you control XXX" would be redundant, and Hearthstone text is all about limiting redundancy, even if it makes the text less clear. Obviously you can't deal damage to XXX if you don't control XXX.

The order you draw them very clearly matters. If you draw Murloc Holmes before Watt-son, he won't be in the deck and Watt-son's effect is useless.
Hmmm, I see your point. I made them so each card has a different role, but yes, one role is draw dependent. Is there a way to get an official ruling on whether it's legal or not from the mods? I'd be happy to change it, but I love it as it is and don't want to if I don't have to.
The only other Twin Fight in WoW I can remember was in Raid The Sunwell Plateau, the Ereda-Twins, who "absorbed" the strength of the other, depending which you kill first. I tried to reflect that with the concept.
It gives it even if it's in the deck/hand, I'm not sure if I need to clarify that or not on the card itself, I would write it in my submission obviously.
Not sure if it's too good, since it's incredible weak to silence and doesn't generate immediate payoff most of the time. Also Light's Champion is a direct counter (just like any other silence / steal). x) Someone tell me if it's nuts or "just pushing". I had a 3 mana 3/3 version which gives +3/+3, but found that way too weak the more I thought about it.

I've already sent the mods a mail asking for clarification, and also to include this as an explicit example in the rules if it does run afoul of them, because it isn't immediately obvious. I thought of making a similar effect until I realized it may be against the order of drawing rule.
How's this for a fix? I give Watt-son a Battlecry: Give Murloc Holmes +1/+1 in addition to his deathrattle. Now specific order isn't required; one order is just much more preferable than the other. It's inelegant, which I don't like, but it fits the rules.
Murloc Holmes and Watt-son are the next Dr. Bloom, calling it now.
Are they actual characters in wow?
Not sure, I've been out of WoW for a while now, but I'm guessing not... Wowpedia shows nothing. What I meant with that is that it will gather a massive amount of votes, and probably some controversy as well just like happened with Dr. Bloom.

Siras Terra, the Geomancer
Here's my concept, based on their encounter in WoW, where one did AOE damage, and one did target damage.
Haven't really tried balancing them yet, but it's called a concept for a reason. Maybe a wording change.
Thoughts?
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
