Hey guys, I want your input on a new deck! I'm trying to make a wild deck using the cards Nightmare Amalgam and Circus Amalgam. The idea is to magnetise the amalgams with various cards from the Boomsday set, then duplicate the giant amalgams with cards like Totemic Reflection and Splitting Axe. I guess it would play pretty similar to Totem Shaman and you could run things like Grand Totem Eys'or to give your Amalgams buffs in your deck.
My suggestion is that first you try mech paladin or mech warrior, and also totem shaman, see what Those do first and how they play. It'll give you a better idea how magnetizing works "in the field"
Practically - totem shaman works as is (not very strong though), and either normal or as Even (via Genn) it's aggro as in standard, not a Zilliax and company's aid. If you wanna mech out amalgams, consider they're slower than totems, so you'd need more control tools, cards like eyesor become too slow, and splitting won't be a 4th turn weapon.
Yeah I tried it, and its not too bad. It feels good to play Nightmare Amalgam on 3, then on turn 4, use Skaterbot then Totemic Reflection to get an extra 6/7 rush to deal with whatever threat they put on board. A lot of the mech cards feel underwhelming though, I think the newMistrunner is straight up better than Wargear for buffing your Amalgams as its otherwise a lot more versatile :/
