I assume we all can agree how terrible and lackluster Lady Vashj currently is, as well as the archetype Spell-related Shaman decks which she is supposed to be a key card in(despite having anti-synergy with Fist of Ra-den). But would it not make more sense if her effect was evolve related? I do not know a whole lot about WoW lore but I am aware that she used to be a night-elf(her unique in-game interaction lol) before "evolving" into a naga. Since evolve is essentially part of the shaman identity, I believe this would have been a perfect opportunity to incorporate this mechanic into the card . Yes, I know that Blizzard are trying to push new archetypes but I feel like Vashj would've suited this theme very well. Having an additional evolve card(which is also a legendary and Shaman has never had an evolve-based Legendary minion) could boost the power and consistency of Evolve shaman as it is heavily reliant on drawing the evolve cards. Evolve shaman is by no means a tier 1 deck(especielly in Standard) which is why I believe my proposal would not break the game. I was thinking: Lady Vashj 3/4/3 - Battlecry: Transform a friendly minion into a random one that costs (2) more. Deathrattle: Shuffle Vashj Prime into your deck. Vashj Prime 7/5/4 - At the end of your turn, transform all other friendly minions into random ones that cost (2) more. A powerful effect which could snowball if left unchecked, therefore justifying the poor stats. I am aware that the prime might be too slow etc, but at least this version could guarantee some value unlike the current prime(completely useless if all spells in the deck have been drawn). What are your thoughts?
Like the idea for sure. I'd say it gains even more ground if the following expansions dont support a spell shaman archtype which I hope/assume was the initial intention of vashj prime.
My problem with her is that aren't enough spells for her, and since we can't draw her, you can't plan her out.
Sure, you can go Earthquake at 4 for 6+3 dmg if you got coin on same turn, which kills her too, scheme is rather pointless to draw from her, maybe even eye at 7 (not worth it imho). I don't think they should change her to another evolvers, but even just making her 4/5 would be better, so it's not a target of either SW Death or all the 4-point dmg'ers, lots of which cost 1 or 2.
What shaman needs, among others, is its abilities on front and wide, andnot just evolve. In parallel to paladin's libram of equality, and so mages' blizzard would remain 'as good', have a 6 cost doing both earth shock and frost shock - 1-dmg to all enemies + freeze + silence. It's not really a mass removal, but it's tempo, and a needed one which would fit combo-wise in cost.
I wish a control spell shaman could have come about. Lady's effect is interesting, and I prefer something more consistent and less tilting than evolve (I just think it's a bad mechanic imho)

Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
They will have to add some really good cards to make Lady Vashj viable, every deck I want to add her but she just doesn't add anything. For the stat line, She's absolute junk right now, I think if she was a 3/4 it would have been better. And just a vanilla 7/7 for the prime, because a lot of the time when you draw her its too late, and why would anyone want to put down a 5/4 for 7 mana??
The problem is not Lady Vashj, but the fact that Shaman spells are just not good. And those that are decent/good cripple your next turn game as they all have overload...

Like blizzard would change a class legendary that's already been released other than lower the mana cost or stats. I have Moorabi in my collection....
Did not necessarily mean that they should change her, but gave an idea of what she probably should have been instead.

we just gotta wait for the next expansion
It should be buffed with: ''your spells cost 1 less''
