Hearthpwn

I was unfortunate enough to have The Runespear be my free weapon. However, i don't want to dust it since i don't have anything in particular i want to craft at the moment. 
Is there any sort of deck I could make use of it in? Preferably something more budget oriented?

Not very budget friendly, but I'm having quite a lot of fun and success with this deck! :) I actually think The Runespear is a very underrated weapon and Control Shaman an underrated archetype. 

With this deck you basically wanna control the board with devolves, AOE and target removal and occasionally putting out big threats in form of Flamewreathed Faceless, Earth Elemental and Thing From Below. Eventually, you gonna shut out the game by casting Ancestral Spirit on one of your (usually costing 0 mana at that point) Snowfury Giants and cast Lesser Sapphire Spellstone on them for a huge board. Runespear fits perfectly in this deck. Lemme know what you think! Hopefully you have most of the cards...

I'm really really sorry for you brother, all the other weapons are at least playable with the correct support but the runspear is soterrible that it can't even achieve meme status, as for the question, no, don't dust it, if you don't need the dust immediatly just keep it, you don't want to open one from packs and be even saltier, keep it until a) you absolutely need some dust to craft a cool good card/deck or b) until you know you're not buyung more K&C packs, so there's 0 risk of opening it again.

We need a "My free Legendary Weapon was The Runespear support group. I'll start:

Hi, my name is viStringTheory, and...*fights back tears*...I received The Runespear.

I like that Blizzard gives away a free legendary, so I can't complain, but it still feelsbatman to be 1/9 of the population to get the worst one. I did receive Gul'Dan for KFT, so at least that one is playable.

I also do not own some of the other Shaman legendaries (like the Death Knight or Hallazeal), and I do not want to craft them just to experiment with Runespear.

that is funny since i got val'anyr as a free weapon but i would like to have runespear so much since i got a fixation on control shaman right now and that weapon look really fun.

Opened it on the Asian server. Fun when you draw it. It's like playing the lotto, though. Don't expect to win. I attacked with it five times in one game and got a "Well played". (I got that guy who revives a destroyed weapon to your hand in the same pack. It was meant to be.) 

This one is just there for trolling. Super unreliable. Very high mana cost. 

I think this weapon would be balanced without "random" on it. 3 yogg spells for 8 is just very bad.

It does have "Discover" though, not entirely random. Although choosing the target would be a lot nicer.
