I guess bashing on your opinion may kinda be bad since as your title claimed which is amateur's thought.
Dreadscale Is actually the lower tier card comparison to Acidmaw. This card can combo unleash the hound to wipe your opponent board rather just own board. Powershot is very good control board card. 2 mana that has potential to deal 6 damage. Bear Trap is pretty underrated card. It's just another trap that make the enemy wonder if it's Explosive Trap or Misdirection. The potential to summon 3/3 is just meh. If the opponent managed to figured out that your trap is only triggered by hitting the face, there are just too many way to play around it.
In anyway, I think control hunter is pretty good with TGT release.
10 mana combo for Hunter? 10 MANA, Karl!!! What?... I suppose and Starving Buzzard's returning in this case. Control Hunter will exist -100%, I believe - but as some funny to play deck as eg Aggro Warrior (with Leper Gnomes and Arcanite Reaper).
You are rating it based on the card value. If you giving 3 mana 4/2 that deal massive aoe for 1 dmg 6/10. I supposed I'm gonna craft golden for this card for the value.
Btw how long have you played HS? Just curious? Cause the there exist Aggro OTK Warrior that combo Raging Worgen. But oh wait. Since you are so good I'm pretty sure you know of such deck. Please forgive my imbecile.
What?? Aggro. OTK. Warrior. You know that 'aggro' and 'OTK' relate to each other like 'hunter' and 'ctrl'? I am a golden Warrior already half a year or more on EU. Of course I played this deck of Neirea, not a hundreds games but enough. It never was some meta-deck but only one of the best maden fun-deck in Hearthstone history (IMO). And it was only combo-deck - not an aggro, or control. Something like a Double Roar Druid or OTK Warlock (with Faceless and Arcane Golem). Now Patron War got this niche and even became top1 meta-deck. Or you consider that it's 'aggro OTK' deck also? Trolling, not very smart btw, about my scepsis in 'ctrl hunt' viability - it's like trolling of atheist who don't believe in heaven and all this holy things, wish you success in it;) PS. Of course 3-mana 4/2 with mini-AOE that kill Muster for Battle and almost all early aggro 100500 times better of situational 7-mana 4/2.
You certainly deserve a cookie and congratulation on your golden warrior.
And I applause your understanding of my post. In my both post have I ever mentioned that OTK warrior is meta? I just said Aggro-OTK exist. And by the way the deck mentioned was in the early release right after beta. Where the deck contain Kor'kron Elite + Arcanite Reaper. To just hit in the face if they are not able to set up Warsong Commander or have bad drawn. Otherwise they will just use the card to control the board. Guess aggro =/= OTK anymore.
If you just play less than a year then please. Don't make yourself sounds too smart.
Here is the justification why Hunter can play control. Oh wait. Your dictionary only has Hunter == Face. Otherwise QQ.
Blizzard introduce numerous card so people don't play Hunter so aggressively.
Dreadscale low-cost to control the board for early game aggro.
Powershot a much cheaper Explosive Shot. Why don't they just make this hit face if all hunter good for is just to hit face.
King's Elekk minion that cost more? I don't remember Face Hunter that has card cost more than 5. (6 if you are one of those trying to fit Savannah Highmane into the deck).
Acidmaw 7 mana for 4/2. Again there is no face value. It says destroy minion when takes damage.
So can you justify why -100% control hunter? By the way I have never claimed that Hunter control can be meta. But with such introduction Hunter has more variety than face hunter and their oh-so-hate-fail-face-cousin mid-range. And of course if to some who try to make deathrattle hunter a thing.
And by the way 3 mana 4/2 that kill Muster for Battle? It's your meta only revolving around to Paladin only? Are you not capable or comprehend that outside aggressive there exist a meta that is not just hitting the face?
3 mana 4/2 that does nothing but hit all minion for 1. In the current meta warlock will you so much because you help to unhatch the Nerubian Egg. There is no 1hp minion for for Mage. Except for some freeze mage. And even then they will love you if they drop Acolyte of Pain. And Warrior will love you even more 1. You will help them increase their Grim Patron count. 2. armormith can help gain armor. Guess your 3 mana 4/2 is good that it only counter paladin so hard. Oh wait. If they drop Shielded Minibot guess it's a free trade to your oh-so valuable 3 mana 4/2.
Seriously please stop sound so smart. And learn to create your own deck if you want to review card and not just copy pasterino from someone else.
"By the way I have never claimed that Hunter control can be meta."(c)Jacks89. Just one sentence - why I need all this wall of text, if I WROTE clearly that I suppose of control-hunter existing after TGT but not too successfull to be meta-deck?
I guess bashing on your opinion may kinda be bad since as your title claimed which is amateur's thought.

Good job mate, you have rated the cards very well except one thing which I really disagree with - Beneath the Grounds. Believe me, while it may look decent at best, it is actually a hidden gem which in the proper deck (Mill) may turn into one of the most OP cards - literally! Just imagine running 2 of those! That's frickin 24/24 for 6 and combined with a mill deck the stats are almost guaranteed to work!
Plus, you may ask now - how is it going to work for Mill when you are adding extra 3 cards to the opponents deck?Well, I got good news for you, it actually doesn't stop the draw since the Ambush card (pretty sure I saw that somewhere) actually draws you a card afterwards as well!
I don't know for you guys but I am having high hopes on this one. I really wish it works just as I am expecting it to because that would be the first Mill deck to be ever viable in Hearthstone (this is something I always wanted and enjoyed - always had some space in my heart for milling :P)
If ambush is burn because of a full hand, no 4/4 minion for you, no draw for the ennemy, it's like if he had a deck with 31 cards and you wast a mana.
I guess if ambush is burn because of a full hand - next card will burn also, because ambush not a card but just something like 'mine' from Warrior's GVG legendary (so it will be 30 cards in opponent's deck anyway). It's hard to find a space for this card in a mill-rogue deck though... And surely in some theoretical 'CTRL Rogue' it will be just useless.
Pretty bad list, Argent Horserider is better than 90% of the cards released and you gave it 1/10.
Well, it's super idea to play turn3 2/1- minion. Hope I often will met you in ladder with your OP-decks with this cards that 'better than 90% of the cards'! If it were as you say whole ladder will be full of Argent Commanders I guess.
I guess argent commander would be a 1/10 and 3/10 in arena then? Lmao nice logic there.
Argent Commander actually 10/10 in arena (maybe it will 9/10 after TGT already), but in ladder near 3/10 in the best case - I saw it last time in ladder proably last year only... Well, let's look at this your 'the best' Argent Horserider more detail. In arena it's like pseudo-tempo card: 3-d drop, we want our 3-d drop trade with 1-4 drops of our opp - with 1-st and half of 2-d he cope really well, sometimes even can trade 1 to 2 (but reeeeeally seldom I guess), with 2-d and elder drops with 3 and more health he already sucks especially if you play against top class (mage, paladin, even druid and rogue) who can even spend hero power - to finish him (it's tempo loose but can be of course) - and you have no buffs in 95% scenarios in arena in general or in hand at least, so it's will be almost always just 2/1 - no more! And what if you need to play it in late game? It's even worse that Zombie Chew in late or really similiar to it. In ladder some classes have cheap buffs, yes, but if you going to play with buffs I guess it wil be aggro/tempo archetype? And this archetype need effective CHEAP minions. The worst that you can do: make something like 5/1 - 6/1 with divine shield and charge turn4, using 2 cards, so even if it will trade 1 to 2 it will be not overwhelming, and many classes in ladder will cope with it easily due to hero power, and tokens, and weapon, some cheap spells or silence also. If you're going to go face with it - you no need this divine shield really (yes, I know power of Argent Squire with cheap buff, but she cost 2 mana less and still she works really well only for Pally, even Rogues not so well with her...). Wolfrider and Arcane Golem - simply better for aggro. And for Tempo we need normal or higher than normal stats. This card even interesting and maybe my rate 1/10 is too low but it will be no more than 2/10, 3/10 anyway even if think a lot.
How can you rate Powershot a 2? This is a must in most midrange and control Hunter decks, and an amazing card in general.
I mostly agree with your post and predict the same archetypes, maybe miss some Dragon-decks and some that barely will appear like CTRL Hunt. But I completely disagree that Powershot is ladder-card, if it will be so good Hunt already would use some similiar ctrl-cards that he have - but he no need it at all! It's horrible to spend important turn 3 for not a tempo-burst but for situational pseudo-AOE. If so - even Explosive Trap better in many ways (it worse only when opponent don't need to pop it). If CTRL Hunt will be a thing that better Face/Midrange (at least not worse) - then probably, and still not sure that this card will find some place even in CTRL deck (we have a good example - Demonfire).
After I saw darnassus aspirant 6/10 7/10 I knew this list would be way off. A lot of pros think this is one of the strongest cards in the set so it should at least be 9/10. Alternatively savage combatant has been stated my many pros as being unplayable competitively so rating it 9/10 makes no sense whatsoever.
It's like Wild Growth with a body - right? - but such a weird Wild Growth - that in 80-90% case scenarios will leave just 'vanila' body 2/3 after playing it and not some mana-charge - well, agree with me, you won't spend silence on it and: your turn2 - this body and +1 mana(unspent mostly)and hope to get next turn as turn4, turn2 of your opponent - death of your vanila 2/3 body and minus 1 mana for you again and welcome to cruel reality of turn3 again - PROFIT! Wild Growth if you really need mana-charge - just far better (yes, slower against aggro but more reliable for this specific function). I guess some who think that it 9/10 just tooo optimistic before playing this card in reality. This card above average of course - have no doubts - but not so perfect sure. Savage Combatant - it's Druid's Beast/Fire Elemental in one body, with not bad stats (this cool stories about 'always Shredder' left for yourself please, construction might change really visible and who knows maybe there barely will be these Shredders before your Combatant on board anymore? + we at least in 50% can paly it BEFORE this spooky Shredder and then will trade with it easily with 3 damage-hero power). Will be key-card for a new Beast Druid, for other archetypes - not really sure.
Also rating lock and load so low seems pretty unwarranted as it will create a new hunter archetype. Reynad is really excited about the card so it must have some potential and it deserves more than 2/10
It's just really hard to imagine for me viable ladder deck with it - tons of merry fun-decks, without any doubts! But viable... wait: is that the same Reynad who tried some time to poke Shade of Naxxramas in all classes decks and sucked whole tournament with these decks?.. I know he's a great experimentator, and zoo-inventor, but want you to know: not all his inventions and ideas work;)
Also Mage doesn't have an inspire deck yet and that will be a drastically new deck type with coldarra drake etc.
Mage doesn't have of course: but please try to read name of thread once again - it's some prediction of NEW archetypes - and I guess it will appear.
I think u're pretty dead wrong with Alex's Champion. This card will be the card that makes Dragon Warrior viable. It is fairly good against aggro and has very good tempo.
It's a great card - I just have some doubts that some Dragon Warriors will appear until we have still not nerfed Patron, maybe as some counteraction to Patron with new AOE-3 Dragon? It's just my opinion. I didn't judge card itself out of actual meta and even possible meta - and if there won't be viable Dragon Warrior it's normally mark 'below average for ladder' for this card - vanila stats are good for arena - there it will be average/slightly above average of course, but for ladder - really not sure.
Completely dissagree with Arena ranking of Anubarak should be a 10/10. Basicaly instant wins you the game in most cases when you have bord control.
LAdder however depends on the viability of control rogue which is difficult to judge, because we dont know yet how fast meta will be.
Well, maybe you are right. It's just a seldom situation when you get Legendary in arena, must to confess I don't really think long and well about this mark. But let's reason with logic: Rogue one of the fastest classes in arena and turn9 when you only can put this slow carcass - it's usually the end of the game already and just lethal searching - just to scare opponent with this clumsy immortal 8/4 and spend whole turn - it's not that we really need for this turn, simple Eviscerate will be in most case scenarios far better. Many other more cheap/fast legendaries will be in priority when we'll have poll 1 from 3: Caerne, Boom, Nefarian, even something like Leeroy and Mukla (not sure but for Rogue I guess, yes)... So it will be well, maybe not such a terrible in arena as I marked but below 5 anyway.
I think you're judging Priest improperly. The class itself never really needed new cards in order to shine, what it needed was for the meta to slow down enough for them to be able to get into the lategame, and all the signs are pointing to TGT being able to do that.
I didn't say that CTRL Priests will disappear. Just in compare with other classes they have more poor new cards... Yes, meta must to become slower, but I afraid that Mind Control won't help with Varian or Aviana ultimate-'combo' - maybe only Lightbombs, but Ysera, Malygos, Cenarius etc?..
Also, I think you're giving shaman a bit too much hype. Yes, I agree, some of their cards are great! however I don't think it's enough to make them become the 'best' class on ladder, though I suppose we'll have to wait and see. In Arena they don't even come close to Mage and Pally, though, sorry.
Shaman and earlier was definitely not a worst class in arena - as personally for me: third after 2 top-classes (well, some people will say Druid, or Rogue, or even some other class, but it's my opinion and only with Shaman I had 12:0 run, I'm not a great arena player at all). And now he will get a huge 'burst' - so it will be a real rivalry between 3 classes I guess. In ladder I don't claim that it will be exactly #1 class - it will be strange after months of weakness! But I remember about Paladin after GVG and his great comeback in business with even less number of great card and with terrible Legendary. I just suppose some large redistribution of influence: if last almost half a year for top 3 were competition between Warlocks, Warriors, Hunters and Mages, then now it will be I guess Warriors, Mages, Shamans, Paladins and Druids, maybe Warlocks won't be so bad and will be there also.
Good job mate, you have rated the cards very well except one thing which I really disagree with - Beneath the Grounds. Believe me, while it may look decent at best, it is actually a hidden gem which in the proper deck (Mill) may turn into one of the most OP cards - literally!
I don't think that one even AMAZING card will make Mill Rogue more than a decent one of the best fun-deck with 40-50% winrate between 10 rank and Legend. I watched Ryzen play it really lot, but even he - such a master of it - rather suffers than has a fun and climbs. You should remember all hopes about even more suitable for Mill Rogue Gang Up - and what we had had as the result. Maybe if meta this time really will become more slow - then... .
So we actually will get about 40 more than average cards that deserve to be crafted (for about almost 30k dust, wow!O_o not bad!..). About 35 'average' cards. And about 60 weirds, almost unplayable on ladder.
Edited: some marks was changed, mostly not too much + '(tiers #)' for arena was added.
"By the way I have never claimed that Hunter control can be meta."(c)Jacks89. Just one sentence - why I need all this wall of text, if I WROTE clearly that I suppose of control-hunter existing after TGT but not too successfull to be meta-deck?

* - I slightly reduce assessment.
** - I slightly increase assessment.
