That is a reason to use weaponless Warrior and don't try to deny that. Why would you not run a classic Warrior, otherwise than being unpredictable an unique? Also the statement about the giants in Handlock and no taunts in Ramp are right. But what you don't seem to see is that I'm NOT playing Control Warrior. I'm playing some kind of Midrange Warrior (with dragons and no weapons), which is an very non-played archetype in general. Just as Zoo doesn't play giants or let's say, Token Druid doesn't play taunts. However, yeah I do agree with you that the weapons is what makes Warrior a good class, and that there are stronger Warrior archetypes out there. But as I said earlier my weaponless warrior isn't a top tier deck, but I'm simply excited about this card cause I could improve my deck a little bit. Last but not least, I simply enjoy making my own decks and playing them. Also I like playing Hearthstone in general and I hope you do too, this is nothing to be upset about. Have a nice one!
I think I misinterpreted what you were trying to say. :p I thought you thought you were getting a competitive edge by not running weapons.
If a 3/5 is not played a 3/3 charge wont be played either. Dragon decks =/= Face decks.
The 3/5 could be played if a more midrange based dragon deck existed...not to mention that the 3/5 is a 3 mana card while this guy is a 2 mana card that also has an upside on top of a 3/3 body. I doubt mid-range dragon warrior will become a thing unless there are better mid ranged dragons announced, but unplayed good cards often just need more cards in a similar archetype to be viable. 3/3 with charge is absolutely ridiculous and stacked with Blackwing techs, there could be a deck in the making.
Man, I've been playing a No Weapon/Dragon Warrior for a while. And I feel like this is going to make it a little better, really excited. Might even become a tier 2 deck or something.
Why would you play weaponless warrior ever? If you're getting harrisoned just stop playing Warrior
Hah, yeeh, I disagree. 1st of all, it's always fun to make your own unique deck. 2nd and mainly, it's for the element of being unpredictable. I have won several games against classic Control Warriors, because of them keeping Harrison in hand making him a dead card. Also killing of their Ysera for example, with my Rend Blackhand. There you got it fella', that's the reason I play a weaponless/dragon Warrior right there.
That's not a reason to use weaponless warrior lol. That's like saying you wouldn't run giants in Handlock because someone might BGH one of them or that you wouldn't run a taunt in ramp druid because your opponent might be running TBK. Cards like Fiery War Axe are what make warrior good as a class. Without weapons, you might as well kiss your good matchups against aggro decks goodbye. No amount of armor is going to make up for the lack of board control.
This is clearly a tempo card in one of the slowest archetypes in the entire game.....I don't see it seeing play despite being among the best 2 drops in the game. Maybe a mid-range build could work since Blackwing Technician, Blackwing Corruptor, Fiery War Axe, and now Alexstraza's Champion all give tempo and high levels of value in one card. Maybe with dragons like Azure Drake and Drakonid Crusher, a new kind of dragon deck could see play in warrior. It's worth a try any way.
