StaffNo, you are most likely doing things correctly. That function relied on the Innkeeper app, which is broken and not likely to be fixed in the immediate future.
Because of that the page tracking the collection has not received attention in some time either, so if there's issues with it I can't say there will be time to look at the state of the bugs there, especially not with the introduction of the Death Knight class and the work that will go into making that work on the site.
It's unfortunate, but this part of the site will likely not be functional for the time being.
If you see a bad post on the forum use the report function under it, so I or someone else of the moderation team can take care of it!
