There will be plenty of decks who spare two slots to totally shut down a popular archetype, if indeed it becomes popular.
Weapon rogue would have to be as prelevant as mage was to waste two slots on otherwise dead cards, and I don’t see it. But yes, if it’s running rampant enough, I suppose.
Enjoy it. The second there's any prevalence of that deck at all, it gets obliterated by double ooze.
Depends on if people wanna trash their winrates elsewhere. Lock doesn’t care about ooze (even jaraxxus included, weapons good, infernals are why he’s played).
Ironically, the weapon rogue gets worse if demon Hunter and warrior get better, because then ooze isn’t wasted in as many matchups. If DH and warrior still aren’t prelevant, ooze shouldn’t be.
Yeah 1000% agree. It's also nice that there is finally a meta with 0 ooze in the meta. I think this deck dies tomorrow. While you can still punch very hard with the weapon, getting that last bit of reach with pin will really hurt.
Perhaps but I could actually see the deck still being really, really good. I could be wrong, but I forsee a LOT more control lock/priest running around after tomorrow, and this deck is extremely favored into those.
The flinger nerf will hurt, but it can probably be supplemented. I don’t think yoink is crazy, but it’s not terrible in this deck as you never HP anyways. Most the time you’re getting a HP that adds damage, and sometimes you get hunter/lock which are great.
It's very possible man. I hope so. The only thing is that I see Paladin still being the best deck. The weapon nerf doesn't do enough to dissuade it from being good, and its your worst matchup for poison by far. I really hope you are right though. Yoink has been good whenever I've got it off wandmaker, but I'm not sure I would be able to convince myself to main deck it, but you never know.
Paladins gonna be strong no doubt but people have just glazed over the fact that they lost flinger as well. And flinger was a massive factor in Paladin beating control lock, which again I think will be running about. Priest also dunks on paladin.
There might be enough checks and balances to keep Paladin at bay.

Weapon based strategies are always going to be great when aggro isn’t prevalent. There’s enough mage/lock/priest running around that definitely makes it a fine deck.
The decks success 100% depends on the current meta. Gonna be interesting to see how tomorrow shakes things up.
