I've been playing a lot of magic and hearthstone lately and this month really gave me the taste of the limitations of the idea of pitting players with similar rank against each other.
So this month in Magic, I somehow flew through ranks in draft and ended up in Platinum rank, early in the month. I don't usually end up in platinum so for the rest of the month I have just been 0-3ing drafts and getting bummed out.
Here in Hearthstone, its the same deal. I get to Platinum and eventually hit a wall and the rest of the month is just frustration.
What becomes the incentive to ranking up if you have no fun for the rest of the month.?
I would love to draft a deck someday and play against the masses and the best man wins. I would love that scenario. You know...something that actually pays off for playing the game every day for 5+ years.

Cultrus is right. I don't play tier one or net decks.
Do they have MMR in arena? This is where I would prefer the chaos.
MMR in casual.
I would be saying the same thing, no matter what I rank I get. Yes, that is what I'm saying.
I would rather win 80 percent of the time, rather than 49.9% of the time. Because against the masses, that would probably be the case.
