Priest is a class that so badly wants to play midrange but just doesn't quite have the tools. And what really sucks, is that expansion after expansion they are always "80%" there, but not quite there.
They always get cards like madam lazul that standalone are actually insanely good cards, but are just not supported by the rest of the deck. Lazul herself is actually one of the better hearthstone cards ever printed. Fair body that provides very helpful information AND "draws" you a card on 3 mana is actually bonkers, but not enough so that it's worth screwing your Rez pool.
The only time priest is good outside of a rez deck is when divine spirit shenanigans is going on. And that is also not fun to play against either. The bottom line is we are due for a midrange priest deck that can actually do things proactively. 3/4 of all cards priest get are reactive, and I have no idea why this became the theme for priest. Hell, they are the ONLY one that got a reactive galakrond. It is the only galakrond of the 5 that you don't necessarily want to slam down once fully invoked. One of their invoke cards is also, you guessed it, entirely reactive.
