To all those saying legend is "easy" I really would not go that far (and frankly I doubt some of you have even achieved legend at all), especially for someone who's attempting to hit it for the first time. Others had some pretty helpful advice tho: make sure you're in the right state of mind, mentally sharp, know when to quit if you're tilted, etc. The first time I got legend I set a goal each day for a specific number of stars in a rank and I found that helped a lot. So if I was at rank 3 1 star I would keep an open mind if I was consistently winning and as soon as I started losing I would settle for say rank 3 3 stars (or 1 or 3 stars in whichever higher rank I ended up in) and then shoot for 1 rank higher the next day. You don't need to be too ambitious, it doesn't have to be a sprint. This is a realistic goal oriented approach that serves to prevent tilt and make you appreciate legend all that much more when you get it. With that said you definitely have what it takes to hit legend if you got mid rank 2, you just have to grind it out. Take a long-term/measured approach and I'm sure you will succeed.
All of that is pointless advice. Just netdeck the highest winrate deck in the meta, or netdeck the counter to the most common deck on ladder, and just spam games all day till you get legend.
The only skill involved is memorizing what cards can be generated by cards like Zephrys, or knowing what cards the top netdecks use.
It's been said a million times before but I always find that it bears repeating, and I have to often remind myself about it, but it's basically a pure numbers game. Unless you're really struggling with a deck or making big mistakes in your play, it literally is just about the number of games you play. As someone said earlier, 51% will get you there, it'll just take about 300 games from rank 5, where allike a 63% winrate will get you there in about 75.
Indeed. You really need time unless your winrate is pretty high.
51% is not high enough.. You will gain you 2 stars every 100 games you play (51 wins, 49 losses), so to get 25 stars you will need to play 1250 games. That’s about 40 games per day for a month. So I would say 51% does not get you to legend.. ;)
60% gives you 20 stars per 100 games, so you’ll still need to play 125 games, which is like 4 games per day in a month..
Even when you would have 70% you’ll still need to play 2 games per day for a month...
it depends on the time you have and the winrate...
I think you underestimate how many games some people play.
1250 games is a lot, but some people don't work, have kids, or go to school. So those degens have time to just spam games. If the meta favors face decks, they just spam.
A 51% winrate also isnt necessarily static. A large loss streak followed by a lucky winstreak could be a 51% winrate, but would still get you Legend.

The rest is a literal grind.
