Currently this is my favorite card. Yes giving mage a total and clean board clear and the little armor gain is great (it has really saved me a couple of times) AND the hero power is super hit and miss (though when it hits, wow- straight won 4 games on day one b/c of what the hero power did)... but those emotes are the best on any hero- no competition. Makes me smile every time.
As to the cost- while it is steep, with Twisting Nether at 8 mana and Plague of Death at 9, 10 mana seem consistent. I would love it to be cheaper but its fair for what it does.
And as far as gameplay goes, I love what it does- really reminds me of old Reno Mage. Fend off wave after wave of your opponent's stuff, carefully managing your resources, so you can come in late with heavy blows. Its a Rope-a-Dope control strategy that I have been missing, that The Amazing Reno revives a bit.
Do we know if the battlecry applies only to minions on board and NOT also to ones in hand or in your deck? I known the later ‘seems’ crazy but what if....
With the new known passive hero power, I bet this will see play. It’s a board clear and a small armor game. This is as good/ if not better than Yogg’s puzzle box. A great last resort card and with a fun-ish twist.
