And if Highlander decks end up being that powerful, people will simply play Bomb Warrior. Then you will lose and your fancy legendary will do nothing. You know, the card you built your whole deck around.
Unless they make a card to remove all duplicate cards in your deck, these cards are hard countered by something that people already play in Standard.
And my feelings aren't hurt, but without more support, these cards alone are not enough. But please prove us wrong. Play the deck from level 20 rank all the way up to Legend and show proof you did this. Then everyone can eat your words and worship you as being right.
The cards are powerful, but not enough to justify the inconsistency. In fact, go build a highlander deck now and post your results here. How far up the Legend ladder did you get?
Edit: Healing for 20 plus health is far more powerful than killing a few minions on the board. The old Reno negated most of the game and cards your opponent played. That's why he was good and I knew he was good the first day he was revealed. This Reno is not even in the same league.
Eat my words and worship me as being right? Go to legend and prove us wrong with a card that's not in the game? You sure seem hurt.
Anyway, you are correct about bombs being counter play and potentially detrimental to highlanders existence, I did not deny that.
However a lot of people are thinking highlander decks are baseline trash without taking bombs into account and need super powerful highlander synergy to make them work. I tried in my post to go over the reasons why highlander play style is legitimate in and of itself, AND to explain why all the new reno cards are actually the super powerful highlander synergy people want, by being severely under costed cards. You are also correct about Original Reno still being the most powerful highlander synergy, I did say that myself, and that is not a problem.
They are not trash, but I believe they were not designed for Standard in mind. At least not yet. Maybe when Standard has the largest card pool, which is at the end of the rotation year, these new highlander cards might see some play.
I understand many are poo-pooing on this card, but don't go the other way either. These cards ARE powerful, but there might not be a home in Standard for them. I have played many a Reno deck in Wild (and in standard when legal). They are usually only viable in classes that have consistent card draw, healing and board clears. Warlock is the best highlander deck because of the hero power and they qualify for each of those qualities in Wild.
I am not trying to be at odds with you, but just because a card is powerful, doesn't mean it will be playable or you can win with these cards. A simple example...
Imagine N'zoth in Standard right now. What death rattles would be worth bringing back? If N'zoth were released today in Standard, it would not be playable. As a turn 10 play, it would be very weak. Is it a powerful card? Of course, everyone knows that. You can see that card in Wild everywhere.
the new Reno is not only not as powerful as the old one, it does nothing to help you survive. If your health (as a Mage) is very low, you don't have very many options for healing. You will die to direct face damage or even if 1 minion survives for the attack back.
Reborn is a new mechanic in this set too. Reborn means minions come back to life. It means traditional board clears are not as good. It means that this effect is not as good. And it appears Paladin got a Reborn quest. This card will do absolutely nothing against a Paladin deck with a bunch of Reborn minions running around in the format.
