Hearthstone is the only TCG I've ever played. I think it's interesting to contrast and compare it to other digital TCGs.
If there's one thing I'd say I really want to see in Hearthstone after trying TEPPEN, is make it play FASTER. This might be as simple as not require waiting on animations (on mobile), or the "next turn" animation, and maybe even restricting turn length. But now I REALLY appreciate Hearthsone's simplicity of presentation. TEPPEN is rather overwhelming...
I spent a few hours with the new Capcom Card battler "Teppen" the other day.
A few things I liked: - Really fast games - No downtime during play - Awesome graphics - Lots of cool counterplay
A few things I appreciate even more about Hearthstone now - Teppen doesn't put the card text ON the cards for some unimaginable reason, which makes it really hard to play especially given how fast paced it is - It's much easier to onboard onto Hearthstone than Teppen. I can't imagine somebody trying to learn Teppen without a Hearthstone background - TOO MANY KEYWORDS to start in Teppen! It's really hard to keep the straight as a new player - The navigation menu is way simpler (i.e., better) for Hearthstone
