First of all, stay strong. Keep your chin up. Look at your baby. Remind yourself why you were put on this planet. You mention that you "really want to love this game". This will take time (at least three months of more losses than wins). You will lose so many games that you will doubt that you will ever enjoy this game. But have faith, friend. You WILL enjoy this game. But only as long as you overcome this period of learning that is inescapable for any new player to Hearthstone.
Indeed, losing many games in a single session or over multiple days can be unsettling. This is merely the nature of the game for new players.
The first couple of months for a new player is the hardest hill to climb. I have been there, my friend. I had no cards in my collection. I was hesitant to spend money on the game. Indeed, I did not spend any money until three months after I installed Hearthstone. But in that three months, I spent hours everyday studying the game, reading the literature for beginning and intermediate players, watching professionals and/or Legend ranked players play the game while providing their analysis on stream. There is much you, too, can do to improve while you collect gold (in order to buy packs).
With regard to buying/opening packs. I would recommend that you collect your gold EVERYDAY and not spend it until the next expansion is released in a couple of months or so. That way, you should be able to open about 80-90 packs + buy a 50 pack bundle (for example) which will help you expand your card collection. This is what I did. This helped me go from Rank 20 to Rank 6. But note that I was stuck playing one deck from one class for two months while I collected my gold. This is something you might have to tough out while you farm your gold. But keep in mind that you will enjoy the fruits of your labor when you open up to 150 packs in a couple of months of time. Then, and only then, can you begin to enjoy Hearthstone.
Friend, getting better at Hearthstone is no 100 yard dash. It is a marathon. As long as you remember this, you will improve at the game and be able to enjoy the game.
God Bless You, friend, and God Bless America.
