However, worried about Dire Frenzy in hunter decks gaining 5-6 Ice Blocks. Maybe make it not a beast?:)
Yeah, that's actually a very good idea.
When I made my card for the first time (i.e. back in 2017), there weren't many shuffle cards in the game, so I didn't take the potential exploit with shuffling extra copies of the legendary into consideration. I admit, that I could have put more thought into the current version of the doggo, but I wasn't sure where the golden ratio was. I got a lot of controversial feedback from different users, before I ended up in the final poll. I agree with people here, that Lassy deserves a change, but to be fair, I would still like to keep her as a beast despite the obvious Dire Frenzy synergies. In order to tune down her power-level, I would remove the Patches' effect and make her text clearer:
This way if the hunter/rogue players decide to shuffle copies of Lassy into their decks, they have to make sure they draw them first. I am going to use this design in future WCDCs.
I would like to make a small comment on the cards here:
I really like most of them, since they are very flavourful and well balanced. Every time I look at CheeseEtc's design, I burst into laughter and wonder how the f*ck he came up with this brilliant design; Air Rager represents a beloved card cycle in hearthstone (the ragers' one) and depicts it in a very clever way (0-health for being unstable like the wind). Other entries, which I find amusing, are the following ones - Gun Duel (though this is abusable in Myra rogue with two elekks), Nobundo's Ritual (deserves a different name imho), Cher Ro (sadly this can't be neutral, but as the creator said, it would have enabled gross synergies with Antonidas), As good as New! and Clara Roft.
Though there is one thing, that makes me mad. DestroyerR's card entry didn't make it to the final poll. For me that was one of the most original and interesting designs I have seen ever since I started participating in the fan creation competitions. Carl, Forever Lost tells a story or, better yet, continues the one from Un'goro and we see the sad conclusion of the adventure in the jungle. Honestly, mate, you have created a winning card. Sadly, this wasn't the competition, where it would shine.
Lassy is OP, you cant die with it. The wording on the card INCLUDES if it died already (See Cthun's buffs working even if Cthun is dead)
So it can endlessly rescue you.
Not really. It's obvious that Lassy won't resurrect herself and save you from the graveyard, else that would be broken and STUPID.
It's true, I used the wording from C'thun, because it offered an elegant way to describe Lassy's effect, but if I had been more clear about her effect, then the card description would have been unreadable. And it's not like Blizzard hasn't made inconsistent card texts before - just look at the scheme cards and Gruul.
