Yerp, at their absolute worst, Harvest Golem and Cairne cost 1 and 2 extra mana respectively to coax a Silence out of your opponent that he now can't use on something scarier. I consider that a winning trade.
Wild Growth on turn 2 is a suspect decision. You're skipping turn 2 so you can cut straight to turn 4, and in this metagame those can be busy turns for your prospective opponents on the ladder. It's okay to use later with excess mana or even as a deck-thinning tool after you're already at 10 mana, if you choose to use it at all.

Cairne is good for the same reason Harvest Golem is good.
