Actually, shuffling 6 1/1 minions into opponents deck is great!
It is, but it's a little hard to do that at turn 5 :D
Of course Psychic Scream is more reliable, but for deck that doesn't run Duskbreaker, it's often hard to survive until turn 7 (or 6 with coin) so Mass Hysteria is just the perfect solution. They are both great cards, and both have their own purposes.
Can you explain this in a scenario against full board of enemy minions with divine shield?
I actually faced an odd-paladin today, and at one point he had a board with 6 x Silver Hand Recruits + 1 x Raid Leader, all with Divine Shields and I managed to clear them all with one Mass Hysteria. I know, it's kinda lucky that none of the minions died before it was their turn to attack, allowing for the full clear, but it's also very unlikely that more than 2 minions would survive.
I run 2 x both in my APM Quest Priest, because against aggro turn 7 is too late and Mass Hysteria is extremely efficient against most early and mid-game boards.
