I would play it IF there was a f2p model. I'm not f2p in HS, but I started that way, and I would still consider myself a "budget" player as I don't spend crazy amounts to ensure I get every card. Mostly just pre-orders and occasional deals. I think if Artifact had a way to play f2p it might be a little better received.
That and the ridiculous "arrows" assigned at random for creeps with no enemy creep in front of them. A game touted as being super skill heavy, etc, doesn't even let you decide if you want an unblocked creep to go face or help stop an enemy creep next to them. Talk about too much RNG...
