I just got a golden Master Oakheart from the free packs, is he used in any good decks or do I dust him?
Ähm, if you ask me, you should keep him. The recruit mechanic is a serious one, with Oakheart you can control which minions you want to pull out of your deck and, which isn't something insignificant. Just imagine for a second, if he also could pull out 4-attack minions (Ysera, maybe Malygos), so if we are going to get a minion as useful and highly valuable as the aforementioned examples, having 1-, 2- or 3-attack points, then Oakheart will be a nice inclusion for a deck running that minion.
Thing is, not long ago I discussed with the moderator his "usefulness" in warlock back when he was considered a "staple". I insisted on telling people, that he was just so slow and not really needed, as if we are talking about playing the defensive game (against aggro), then reaching turn 9 is already a win anyway. Regardless, gratz on getting a golden version of him, keep him until the next expansion.
I have only 1600 dust for now but in your opinion which one is the most crucial to play warlock (in any control form: cubelock, handlock, etc)? Which one should i craft first? Which one is the most easily replacable?
You can check my collection in my profile.
Thanks.
Hey, Master Oakheart has been cut off from most of the lists IMO Rin is still found in control warlock but many are complaining that its too slow and people hardly get a chance to play Azari. And even if they do they don't burn many cards(having a 10/10 on the board is good though.)
As for the other two they are used in cubelock/handlock and are a part of the combo. But umbra and prince 3 are currently only found in cubelock and have found no use anywhere else, so if your limited on dust you might wanna think before crafting them.
Also cubelock has around 4 legendaries in total:
dk guldan(must have for all warlock decks)
skull of manari( must have for cubelock)
prince taldaram (very useful and flexible)
umbra (gives you the extra burst by summoning two extra doomguards when u cube a doomguard)
and playing cubelock without all the combo cards in your deck is not recommended in my opinion.
however if you really wanna play warlock and have Bloodreaver Guldan , voidlords and other epics depending on the list u choose (if not, get Dk guldan first), you can craft Rin and play control as Rin and Dk guldan are the only two legendaries used in most of the control warlock lists.
If mill rogue seems fun to you then it's definitely worth crafting yes. I think there is a place for it in decks besides mill as well (or at the very least, potentially will be). As for future use... that's impossible to say without knowing what Blizzard is up to. If you're looking for something that will be in Tier 1/2 decks ... then there are probably some better choices for you to craft.
I got it as my free legendary with launch, but if not I would have crafted it as I find mill rogue extremely fun to play vs the decks I have been seeing the last several weeks.
i am happy someone agrees. its really fun to spectate my friends. see them play the deck. thanks for the reply btw.
Thank you so much for the replies. Also wanted to ask, is kingsbane worth crafting? the kingsbane mill rogue seems like a really fun deck.. i have all the cards for the deck except the kingsbane itself. But i don't wana craft anything that wont see use in the future. what do u guys think?
Hey guys, i have been playing since 5 months, i have not dusted anything yet. but there are a couple of legendaries i got from packs which i have never ever used and i dont see any use for them anywhwere. Just wanted your opinion if i should dust them. would also like to mention that i do not play wild.
If you are just after daily quest viability then I would recommend the neutrals. Or even just strategic rares/epics.
Yes daily quests is my main objective, i do craft essential epics and rares from time to time. But i would also like to, you know craft good cards that would make a deck more viable overall. I asked about the two specific dks cause i do have all the class cards for warlock and shaman.
Am currently using mid range hunter and zoo to climb(sometimes even evolve shaman just to change things up) . Would crafting warlock and shaman dk help me to use them in ladder?
I am kinda confused about the entire concept and therefore asked.
Wouldn't bother with Shaman DK. It is strong but not essential and I am not convinced it will hold value long term.
The warlock DK is a really strong card so it will likely see play in future meta's. I would consider it a safer craft. Especially considering you play zoo as a "main" deck.
Keleseth has the advantage that it is a neutral so can be played by more classes. It is very strong in warlock and rogue in particular. Patches remains probably the strongest single legendary (but will rotate to wild April next year).
I recommend you to focus on epics .. they are used more than most legendaries, but first, see which deck attract you the most, build it
Advice : save some gold to buy like 20 packs from the next exp you can collect 2k so easily
Thank you so much for the advise. I do have all the rares/ epics required for mage, hunter rogue, warlock and shaman. Priest and paladins decks are comparatively expensive so i decided to kep them for laterand i am not really into warrior( i generally replace the quests for these three classes )
I have saved up around 2.5k gold for the next expansion.. Will save more.
The thing is i am kinda getting bored playing the same decks on ladder. So wanted to craft value cards that would help me later on as well. I see prince keleseth and patches being played in quite a few decks... As for the two dks, i find the really interesting.. So asked. Kinda confused.

Hey guys. I am a fairly new player.. Been playing since june this year. I have 4 dks. Mage, rogue, paladin and hunter. Have been gathering dust to craft legendaries. Need ur advise regarding the same. My goal is to make as many classes as i can playable and also to complete daily quests. So should i craft legendaries like patches, Prince keleseth, etc or craft the dks for warlock and shaman as i have almost all the class cards for the same.
Also in general, would you guys recommend crafting all the dks over crafting neutral and other class specific legendaries?
