Yeah, I know what you mean. And yes, in that particular deck, your right, it would be a ginormous minion-I only run big ones in that scenario. So yeah, it is most definitely a huge late game boost but again, that deck is very susceptible to aggro.
But your right, priest did get a great card. I ran that "big priest/servitude" deck yesterday and ran on ladder from rank 20 to 14 with one loss-to aggro deck.
I undedstand your frustration on priest. I am currently having the same frustrations playing against Druid and quest Mage.
Hang in here, things will change up-they always do-eventually.
I mean, priest did get some love but that's just part of it. I am a Golden priest (and Hunter, Pally, Mage) and I have several diff priest decks and still find the ladder challenging. The card you are referring to is primarily used in the "big priest" deck which is a very effective deck BUT-it has its problems too.
First, there is no way someone can drop a 4-mana Lich King or any big minion for that matter. In order for that card to work, you have had to already play one of the big cards AND have had it killed-it only lets you choose a minion that has already been played and killed. Sooo, technically, the earliest you can actually potentially play a big minion like Lich King is on turn 4 if you play Barnes and then it's still not guaranteed on which minion you will get... so, I suppose if you played Barnes turn 4, then opponent killed it same turn, then you could drop Servitude on play 5.
And this deck STRUGGLES against any type of Aggro deck. You basically have to work on board clear for first 4-9 turns in order to set up your big minions so, like I said, this deck has its problems too.
I am still finding Druid and Quest Mage to be the kings of "broken" for this new meta.
