Now the decks I'm playing are hard countered by aggro. when I face a combo deck I pretty much win (unless it's mally rogue with a turn 5 OTK) but I'd like to give myself a better chance VS. aggro.
All I can really think is to add tar creepers and a mossy horror for any giggling inventors.
here are the lists... do I just have to accept that aggro beats these decks 9/10, or will adding something like tar creeper improve my chances enough to make the inclusion worth it?
I'm thinking of removing inventor for tar creeper anyway just as inventor is a bit slow for dealing with aggro.
I have had some luck with the card when I can bounce the adds back to hand with sonya and play them again, but this combo is too rare to rely upon and only really works against bomb hunter (for aggro decks at least, the others are too aggressive when we're talking last meta's decks just tweaked)
I think this is my older version of tesspionage as well. I will need to look at how it is in game and then change it. I am pretty sure I have vanish and sap in there now.
here is an hour of Regis playing jackis version of the espionage deck. I watched jackie play it yesterday and it's quite different from my version in that it has a lot of low cost minins that can draw, he also runs sprint over auctioneer which I can see the value in, but auctioneer is amazing in this deck so I'd possibly run both.
in my version I am now running vanish, but I'm starting to think sap is better as if you end up with loads of spider token, you never anna vanish them.
check out this footage anyway if you want to see another version of the deck in action. Jackie didn't include tess, but regis said he'd include it himself in his own version.
In general with valeera DK in the deck you should run 2x vanish, cause it synergyizes so well
Other good stuff for early tempo is doomsayer and sap (also deals with magnetized stuff now)
And dont get too greedy in general. For example dont run spooders and pogohoppers, just focus on one thing. Also the elekk's look great but can end up being too greedy and weaken the deck against aggro/midrange while you still win against control without them. (Edit: for example SI:7's would fit the curve almost like the elekks, but work better for early board control)
And from your decks posted i would take edwin out of both, hes a great standalone minion, but hes too inconsistent against aggro in this types of decks i think
Edit2: One thing i learned, and that helped me with my rogue decks (im getting r5 every season with homebrewed stuff) is that you have to think different in rogue than other classes. Instead of thinking "what other stuff can i include that synergyzes, oh look i can put elekk's and shadowsteps to play stuff again and maybe zola etc etc" you should think "with how few cards can i generate enough value to win versus most decks? So that i can put the rest into early board control and survivability"

oh wow. check out that regis game VS. the warrior, it's so disgusting (in a good way)
he gets a 1 mana gathering party, recruits a geosculptor from a deck of like 50 cards and has over 70 armour. Yip then recruits mecha'thun... so good.
