I had fun playing quest rogue (obviously lol). Also, Blizzard obviously will not print 1 mana neutral echos, because it would get too ridiculous. Quest rogue will make a comeback though, I can almost guarantee it. I don't want anyone to tag me if/when I'm wrong lol, because I'm guessing Blizzard will test different iterations of a quest rogue deck (right?), but I guess we'll se.

Quest rogue will definitely comeback and will destroy any control decks as its charge minions will be otk unless some armor on heroes.
Im praying it doesn't comeback tho
tbh i'd like QR to come back, the only reason it was cancerous was because 3 mana 20 damage from hand because lol charge, honestly, if they reworded every charge minion to rush+battlecry: gain charge if some conditional shenanigan happens that'd save them a lot of problems in the future.
I doubt that. It is a 3 mana card. And created legendaries create no synergy at all. Actually many of them will be dowgraded to 5/5 since more percentage od legendarie is stronger than 5/5. It could probably make the quest somehow viable but not OP again.
Well, the taunt echo card is actually more versatile than it seems, for QR: too slow to actually rush for Quest, it can be good for board presence AFTER Quest is completed: 2x 5/5 taunt on turn 6 could severely hinder Aggro decks.
With some other of these flexible defensive cards, the situation might get interesting indeed.
QR will never return to pre-nerf powerlevels (it was already t3 back then, and Patches at full power too...), but at least it may bring Rogue back in the meta.
Actually echo cards will probably not be particularly good for the purpose of completing the quest. Say you want to complete the quest with skull collector: best case scenario you play it turn 3, the only bounce you have that works is shadowstep, so you bounce it, turn 4 you can play skull collector twice (one for one mana and one for 3).
At this point either you have the second shadowstep or you lose the quest because the skull collectors get cleared. So instead you have to bounce the skull collector with another bounce effect (brewmaster or cheat death). Turn 5 you have skull collector in hand, and you still cant play it by itself because you need another bounce effect. So you bounce it and turn 6 you can finally make use of echo and play it twice.
So you play the crystal core turn 7, and in 5 turns the only board presence you have is 2 bouncers on turn 4 and 5, realistically you would be dead by then. Keep in mind for this to happen you need to get at least a shadowstep before turn 3 or things get much slower.
So from what i see, unless very cheap echo gets printed (very unlikely unless its a class card), i don't see the mechanic helping quest rogue.
I hope that Blizzard will make some more interesting type of Rogue work instead of ,, Play solitaire for a few turns, then kill your opponent with cheap 5/5 minions with boring effects,, Also... Blizzard nerfed it when it was only tier 3 so it is obvious that they do not want such a deck to be anywhere close to good.
Well considering that quest is running two brewmasters and loosing ferryman, any 2 mana echo card would be crazy in this list. Also chargers. I think quest is really limiting the design space.

they will probably stick to neutral 3 mana cards, and for less mana either class cards or spells
Echo could create a new, slower version of Quest rogue, where you would complete the quest much later in the game, but you wouldnt have to fit so many cards that you need to bounce crap back and replay it, since like for example two copies of Phantom Militia would be enough to complete it eventually, allowing you to built a very different deck. The question is, obvously, what kind of deck could utilize this. We shall see :)

If you are reading still.There is a hope that 1 mana rush minion with sonya or low stat rush minion with sonya might give that advantage since you rush and dead sonya give 1/1 vers. then play it then rush and 1/1 like that.
An opportunity for Rogue players to discuss and theorise the potential of Quest Rouge returning featuring the Echo mechanic.

The new Rogue Legendary, Face Collector looks like it could be a fun target to cast 5 times. Maybe too memey for the actual deck though.

I opened crystal caverns again after i got the nerf refund, i will join the cancer if quest rogue comes back

Occasionally gives helpful advice.
