Last two weeks I decided to play exclusively with priest because I open the legendary spell and want to try in many decks, Galakrond, Highlander, quest control, etc...
Why people complain so much about the class?
DH rushes you more often than not because he always will draw good (they draw the entire deck before turn 10) you playing priest not always.
Hunter outtempo you so badly from turn 1 to 7 only for a miracle you be alive until there, probably I have 10% or less winrate vs hunters.
Rogues will outvalue you, it is possible to put a good fight here and sometimes turns into your favor but rogue definitivately have the advantage here, random lackeys are better than random minions.
The only class I really feel in unfair advantage was paladin, but that is it.
Priest is not a hopeless class but I was expecting much more for all the complains I read all day here and in other places.

So you answered it yourself, Scissors & Paper. Doesnt do good against DH but very well against others, esp. if you can steal the good cards. And when I play they always get my Legendaries or Weapons :/
I personally feel rogue is currently much more annoying, the amount of time they spend discovering things and taking long thought out turns is on average double the amount of time a priest takes in a turn. Constantly on the board with little minions and cheap removal, lasting til turn 7~9 with much more ease then most and then its swing turn after swing turn after swing turn with usually 7 zero cost cards.
Mostly because so much of the class is built around first countering the opponent's win condition then winning a slow attrition game. Beyond even control usually that will have some big hitters to wow you at the end, Galakrond Priest mostly just removes removes removes until you don't have anything left to contest the low tier infinite minions from Galakrond. So they're slow, grindy games that somehow always feel unlucky to lose against.
Imo, I'd face a Priest over an early release DH any day, but this is why.
how fun is it to kill the same TWO cards over and over. Last game against this shit i think i killed Obsididan statue like ten fucking times. And Convinicing Infiltrator most likely around the same amount of times
As others said above. People hate playing long games and prefer to have some fast-pace games in order to climb faster. Also people tend to complain about anything anyways so it's not something new especially in HS's community. Just play what gives you joy.
Because is fun absorbing, im tired of facing it on ladder, if im agro or tempo, must of the time is a n asnwer and healing chain, where im at turn 7 or 8 i filled the board like 4 times im the priest whether copied my cards and used them with better luck against my board or just boardclear/sigle target removal every single minion (oh and the priest is still at 20+ health at that point).
Playing control, it is not a simple long game, is a long game where most of the time i get punished by default, if i play cards ,the priest steals them, if i dont play card, now, priest steals them again (that danmed new legendary), if i dare to mulligan them cause are to expensive for an opening hand, the priest copies them, and play even before i get to draw them, and most of the time with better results, if i dare not to mulligan them cause is a long game and i probably wont win on tempo, yep, the priest copies them again.
And if is not that, well, there is the resurrect mechanic, because is so interesting trying to get pass through the same deadlyshot taunt minion or kartut defender a million times per game. It is just 1 sided fun game,
We have a problem wihen even priest players avoid the mirror match by conceding.
Because it is a boring class to play against, especially in a control v control match up. Luckily a majority of people in the world play aggro, so I just auto concede when I play against priest and the time I didn't concede, Priest just rope me every turn and make the game into 30min round.
Tldr: priest feels really bad to play against. Losing as priest feels like there was nothing you could do all game while losing to priest feels like non of your decisions mattered.
Priest imo is a fundamentally broken class design wise. Blizzard has attempted to fix it with recent changes to the priest classic set, but they still haven't really dealt with the issue. Games with or against priest are usually one sided. Either they have all the tools to steal your stuff and destroy everything or they don't. So either the priest gets run over before turn 5 which feels bad or they win around turn 25 by making the opponent feel like no decision they made all game mattered which also feels bad.

You see many people complaining about priest because the main difference between those who only play aggro and those who love control decks, is that the latter group of people is usually much more honest (like well, almost always :P) about stuff they don't find healthy for the game (priest being super unfun to play against most of the time).

This isn't an issue. Priest plays for board better than anyone except maybe Paladin. Either you play around their ability to clear a board and win or you don't and you lose. Priest can't burst you from hand, they can't cheat out mana, they're vulnerable to high tempo decks. There's a couple of *cards* that are a problem (thoughtsteal, convincing infiltrator) but the concept of priest being a control class that heals itself and builds sturdy boards isn't the problem.
Some of my most satisfying games and best memories are when I outplayed a priest. People really hate having to think about what their opponent is going to do next I guess. Or they hate things that are challenging to them.

It's because people want faster games to climb to legend
Wait what am I supposed to write here again

Coz some ppl hate long games. Mostly newbies and frustrated people who don't like steal nd control style play.
Because res priest is the worst shit in this game

since day 1 of HS priest was shit. Either UP or annoyingly OP. Never just ok.
The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!

If the rogue takes long to pick cards he probably a bad rogue player.
Take a look at gm decklists this week
Every pro player is using priest rn
And should this people be ashamed of being "bad rogue players"? What would they achieve in life if they were "good rogue players"?

Priest complains started all the way at the beginning. People simply don't like long and drawn out games.
What deck ran the new priest legendary that hey had to up 3 mana
