The way I see paladin, and also the way the class is portrayed in WoW, is that it's a "courageous" and "heroic" like class, with heals, and epic skills and abilities. But for some reason, team five decides to take it in the rout of zoo and many small minions.
Of course every pally main has his/her own liking to this class and I don't disrespect any opinion, I just personally highly dislike this "zoo" theme that paladin is getting...
Where is dragon paladin? Where is taunt paladin? Where is the weapon identity of this class? All the weapons its getting support a zoo playstyle, except for (partially) its basic Truesilver and Ashbringer, which comes off Tirion. WHY ARE THEY TAKING THIS EPIC, HEROIC CLASS, to the direction of zoo and meaningless buffs and MURLOCS???
Please pard my frustration, it's just that this is a class I love so much and in my (personal) opinion, they're just taking it into directions that baffle me.
Who the hell cares about paladin now? Did you see the last revealed priest card (I'm pretty sure you did since I saw your posts in that thread)? People working for Team 5 totally lost their mind... and I like priest... WTF???
I don't play Paladin very often, but I hate seeing this Zoo approach to the class, because it really is a graceful class with high potential that isn't being tapped.

Ok, ok, sorry for this comment. I neither play Paladin too much, but I don't have any problem with it having a Zoo playstyle, and in fact, I kinda like it...
I feel like they are returning to their roots with Paladin. Focusing on both dude creation and healing, which are both very thematically appropriate decks that fit the feeling of playing Paladin.
I just hope the decks are strong enough.
Dude Paladin doesn't seem that strong even with the new cards. Priest have gotten insane board clear, and that Psychic Scream absolutely destroys Paladin.
Healadin's problem is that its Late Game is absolutely dreadful in comparison to the other Late Game decks like Raza Priest, Jade Druid, or even Elemental Mage.
I am so disappointed so far in the card reveals for Paladin. The entire class is directionless. I think they want to push Silverhand Recruits, but they can't seem to come up with anything new since all the great classic card rotated out of standard a while back.
The "healadin" option could work... but we have no way to bounce back from board clears. And when cards like Blackguard don't work unless you need health (that is, you have less than 30 health), they are often powerless.
I am really worried we are about to become the laughing stock of Hearthstone. I played over 20 games today in casual. I use my Paladin deck (mid-range) and I faced off against ZERO Paladin opponents. Mages, Rogues, and Priests were the overwhelming number of my opponents.
The remaining cards from this set better be amazing.
Unless they reveal something really good, for virtually any other class, it's going to be another 4 months of Prieststone anyway. That new dragon, what's it's name, and Psychic Scream, are a big, juicy "fuck you" to any midrange deck.
I hope there is a card that give Paladin Hero Taunt effect, maybe in form of Weapon Card? This way he can lose enough HP to get healed and activate Blackguard. Giving the Hero Taunt also protect your minion so they can be buffed safely without worries of minion trade. I think Paladin can outlast the damage he take early on with many of his healing card.
I'm okay with the Dev focusing Paladin on Healing and Silver Hand Recruit mechanic, but please no more Murloc please.

My favorite deck to play is corpsetaker/handbuff paladin. I also like dude synergy paladin. These feel like they fit the military bent of some paladins. Martialing the forces, leading them to noble goals! Anything that works in those directions I can get behind. I don't care if its the most competitive (in fact the hipster in me prefers if it isn't), I just want it to be fun! Otherwise, heavy control healdin has always felt paladin-y. I agree that murloc paladin just feels wrong.

This is actually ingenious...

Wth is needed to be called a taunt paladin? Tirion Fordring, Wickerflame Burnbristle, Spikereed Steed, Unindedified Maul, Stonehill Defender, Grimestreet Defender, Corpsetaker...
If Psychic Scream will be a tihng.. just concentrate on battlecry/recruit/"joust" mechanics. Late drawn Corpsetaker might "benefit" from Psychic Scream aswell. Overall I am not concerened about Priest, because I play a heal based control paladin which destroys raza priests, I suffer against tempo decks and therfor I hope our legendary weapon will be good for stalling the game or maybe some sort of board-clear without equality.
Overall I am not too excieted for the paladin cards so far, but we still are missing the epics/legendaries.
Most likely I will use the Spellstone and Benelovent Djinn in my current decks.

The content of Your post is the complete opposite of what is happening in Ladder ( Standard and Wild) .
Other people would probably asking what rank you play etc. but I keep it simple. You. Cannot. Outheal.Raazapriest.
This is why so many people are worried about the direction Paladin is going. Against Jadedruid and Priest healing is completely irrelevant !!! You might aswell read every card without the healing text. What’s left are shitty and worthless minions.

Well, "destroying" was maybe the wrong term but during my climb to rank5 (standard) I faced 20 raza priests , resulting in 13-7.
Back top the topic, now we got a new paladin card (Call to Arms) which can work in all different types of paladin decks, which makes me now excieted for this expansion even without knowing the missingg 2 legendaries + 1 epic for paladin. The combination of different 1 and 2 drops is interesting , atleast for paladin + it has positive sideeffects similar to mysterious challenger -> thinning your deck for good late game.
its hard to answer, i like how they are adding synergies to healing yourself because healing on its own just isent good enough anymore, healing only stalls the inevitable tempo loss and then you eventually get overrun by a overwhelming board, so the pearlstone and blackguard are nice concepts, the only problem is they are so weak and overcosted that they wont see much play and forsomething that requires you to play alot of mostly useless healing cards in your deck that wont even save you against the strongest aggro decks most of the time they should be more competitively priced
maybe pearlstone and corpsetaker/burnbristle/djinni with a bunch of 1 drops and call to arms is good enough, but im not holding my breath, probably just murlocs again for another 4 months

Have you somehow seen all the cards already? Just relax.
But so far, no I don't like the way they (want to) go.
I'm not online, it's just your imagination
