I'm not sure why this is happening Grumparsch. Which browser are you experiencing the issue in? Can you try to use another browser or your current one with addons disabled?
I had the same problem as well lately. I could embed them in a comment in a thread, but not in my deck description. What could be the problem? Using Google Chrome as browser.
I am having this problem too. It says: "www.hearthpwn.com says: Unfortunately, we don’t recognize that video platform, so we can’t embed it. You can still link the video by closing this window and pasting the link into your comment."
Are there any step-by-step guides to do this right? I have tried both HTTPS, HTTP, deleting everything before www., before youtube., and youtube gaming link, shortlink and all. Same error every time.

Using MacBook Air, Chrome and Safari.
You'll need to give us the link you're trying to use so that we can determine if it's an issue on our end.
I just tried all three of those links, and they were all valid. Windows 10, latest Chrome.
Are you using any browser addons by chance? If so, could you disable them all (or run in incognito which by default has addons disabled) and see if that makes a difference?
On the off-chance it could be some Mac related issue with Chrome or Safari, I'm going to wave down a buddy of mine with a Mac and see if he can reproduce the issue.
You should see if you can track down which addon is causing the issue so you can look into possibly replacing it with something else or tweaking it so it doesn't cause issues on the site. My guess would be something that blocks ads and for some reason is blocking something in core scripts on the site.
Glad to hear the problem is at least resolved though if you get into incognito - that means it isn't us! \o/
I'm using google chrome. I click on the "embed a video" icon, then it opens up a prompt. I copy the youtube URLs above and input it in and press submit. I get a prompt telling me that those websites don't work with the widget. I've tried removing everything before the youtube, I tried using the alternate youtube link as opposed to the youtu.be links, etc. same issue every time.
I can always just paste the URL into my guide, but I feel like my viewing experience is smaller since I can't have the direct embed video into the guide. It did work last week for the first video I put up. I don't know what I changed within the few days that would prevent the other videos from going up.
Aha! If you're using the embed function in decks decks, please make sure the deckbuilder fully loads before you hit the save button. If the deckbuilder is fully loaded, you shouldn't get this error once you try to use the editor.
Hi toegether,
since 1 day i can't embed youtube videos in my threats.
Before i were able to copy only the youtube link into my summary field and there was a preview of my video available.
With the same procedure now i receive an error message that the hearthpwn.com can't check that the link is a video portal which will
be supported :(
any idea what jam doing wrong?
It's working fine here. Sorry.
I dont seem to be having the issue on my main or alt account, as demonstrated from my alt account below.
Crown Prince of Lordaeron, Knight of the Silver Hand, and The Lich King.
I'm a bot; My actions on HearthPwn are automated!

Good to hear ;)

Same here. I just can't embed it in the deck description, only in the comments. Pretty strange.
Also working from a MacBook Pro, using both Safari and Chrome.
Are you using an HTTPS link? I think that's the issue -- cut off everything before the y.

Thanks Flux for the quick response. Links are:

* https://gaming.youtube.com/watch?v=K3bmqByWs24
* https://youtu.be/K3bmqByWs24
Have tried all versions of these as mentioned, removing the 's', in https, removing "https://", and "https://www." etc.
Appreciate the help!

Hi Flux, Incognito did the trick! Good for others with the same issue to know!
Thanks for your help and quick actions, much appreciated :)

Can you walk me through what you are trying to do, kensanity. Additionally, what browser are you using?
